Sonic Crossworld Vehicle Stats Explained (From Rudimentary Testing)
Updated Jan 11th: Slipstream Speed Info Updated, Accel Chara Kit added
April 2026 Note: This data is out-of-date! I may update this eventually, but the funny kart racer is a lot less funny on the current patch.
Hi, I'm KT80AT! I got tired of this information not being easily available, and often just lies being told as fact, so I spent hours testing every stat myself in detail and here are my results! There are probably errors here and there but it's close enough to accurate and, when I started this doc, other public sources were scarce. These were tested by recording myself in Sonic Speed Time Trials and Race Park and going over the footage frame-by-frame.
If you want a simple video breakdown on the vehicles themselves, check out FastKlingy’s video: How Stats ACTUALLY Work In CrossWorlds

[Top Speed Stat]
Speed Stat +5 Top Speed (+0.05 Per Stat Point)
[Mentions of "Speed" in the [purple] sections refer to "Bonus Driving Speed" that pushes you above your top speed and I've tried to lump together similar sources.]
[Ring Top Speed]
99 Rings +7~ Top Speed (+0.07~ Per Ring)
100+ Rings +14 Top Speed (+7 for that 100th Ring)
0 Rings Suffer "Spin Out" when damaged (Longest animation + lose all vehicle control)
[Slipstream Bonus Driving Speed] (Retested Jan 11th)
Slipstream +20~ Speed
Ring G.Boost +16~ Speed (60~ frames) (No Effect in Mid-Air (No Trick Bounty)
Ring G.Mini B. +8~ Speed (15~ frames) (No Effect in Mid-Air)
Acceleration Character Kit +16~ Speed (60 frames) (It’s Ring G. Boost again)
Speed Machine Kit +8~ Speed (15 frames) (It’s Ring G.Mini B. again)
[These all count as Slipstreams and share the same Speed Cap]
[Ring Gain Boost + Mini + Accel Chara Kit stack for up to +38 Speed]
[Bonus Driving Speed Cap] (Retested Jan 11th)
General Bonus Driving Speed Cap: +38 Speed
Power Vehicle Bonus Driving Speed Cap: +48 Speed
Ring Top Speed (The up-to +14 for holding 100 Rings above) counts toward this Speed Cap, meaning having 100 Rings with a build that hit 24+ Ring Gain Speed, in a Slipstream’s +20, is no faster than that same build with 0 Rings. But only while in a Slipstream.)
(This Speed Cap was seemingly stealth buffed in patch 1.2 by 18 Speed)
My Ring Gain Boost Speed Gain Testing Results (Singular Ring) (All Vehicles) :
184 Base Vehicle Top Speed
193 (+9) RGMB
201 (+17) RGB
209 (+25) RGB + RGMB
210 (+26) RGB + ACK
210 (+26) RGB + RGMB + ACK (The boost runs out of time before it can accelerate to max speed)
My Ring Gain Boost Speed Cap Testing Results (Multiple Rings) (All Vehicles) :
184 Base Vehicle Top Speed
193 (+9) RGMB
201 (+17) RGB
209 (+25) RGB + RGMB
216 (+32) RGB + ACK
222 (+38) RGB + RGMB + ACK (Like WTF +38 Speed??? I feel like my game’s broken)

CrossWorlds, Should you use Ring Gain Boost 1 or 2??
[Collision Boosts]
Collision Boost +20 Speed
Ally Tap (Festival) +20 Speed
[Notably these don't stack together, nor do they stack with Slipstream]
[Drift Boosts]
Drift Lv.1. +20 Dash Speed / 1.5 Second Duration
Drift Lv.2+ +25 Dash Speed / 2.5 Second Duration
Drift Lv.3+ +25 Dash Speed / 3.5 Second Duration
Drift Lv.4+ +25 Dash Speed / 5 Second Duration - Invulnerable for 3 Seconds
[Vehicle Speed Modifiers While Drifting]
Handling: +2 Speed & +4 Boost Speed
Acceleration: +1 Speed & +2 Boost Speed
Boost: +1 Speed & +2 Boost Speed
Speed: +2 Boost Speed
Power: -4 Speed & -2 Boost Speed
[Item Boosts]
Shield +10 Speed (Counts toward Bonus Driving Speed Cap)
Boost Wisp +25 Boost Speed (Ignores Off-road)
King Wisp +30 Boost Speed (Ignores Off-road)
Monster Truck +40 Boost Speed (Ignores Game Design)
Drill Wisp Sets Speed to 360
Laser Wisp Sets Speed to 500 (Sets Speed to 240 while ending on long turns)
[Dash Panels]
Dash Panel +25 Boost Speed
Rainbow Dash +25 Boost Speed (Not the pony, Ignores Off-road)
[Chaining Multiple Dash Panels stack up to +35 Speed]
[Festival Mechanics]
Team Meter Boost +40 Boost Speed (Ignores Off-road)
Festival/Group Speed Catch-up Mechanic +20 Speed?? (Speed is increased by 20 in 12th place idk)
[Group/Festival Rules are hard to test. The catch-up mechanic might be team-based idk.]
Tyron has a video showing off the weird catch-up mechanics: Festival Handicap - Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
[Acceleration Stat]
Acceleration is far more complicated than the other stats and the different vehicles accelerate differently via gear shifting like real cars. @GHShuffle has a fantastic thread on the details if you’re interested: https://x.com/ghshuffle/status/1977254771695276279
Theanjo has made an excellent spreadsheet testing the Acceleration Stat itself: SRCW Acceleration Stats Public
The biggest takeaway is there is a sourspot where you accelerate SLOWER than lower acceleration numbers. These values are between 57-65 for Handling Vehicles and 52-60 for Boost Vehicles. Avoid those stat values if you can.
Acceleration Vehicles have innate Maximum Traction (...yay?)
[Handling Stat]
Handling Stat: Mmm, yes, car turn good. *grunts and nods*
(How do I quantify handling? Like actually how?)
Handling has no effect on Boost Charge Speed. Yes, Boost Charge Speed is affected by how tight you’re turning but it caps out before Handling comes into play.
Handling Vehicles don’t lose speed while turning and gain +2 speed while drifting.
That +2 drifting speed is equivalent to 40 points of the Speed stat btw. Don’t let their low speed stat fool you, Handling Vehicles match Speed Vehicles on turns or while snaking. So almost constantly.
[Power Stat]
Power Stat: The bigger Power stat wins collisions. Flat 2 Rings lost on a losing collision. If you have 0 Rings, you lose vehicle control very briefly.
Rings lost to walls are based on vehicle type:
Power Vehicles: 0 Rings (innate Bumper Guard)
Speed, Accel, & Handing Vehicles: 1 Ring from the side, 2 Rings head-on
Boost Vehicles: 2 Rings
[Boost Stat]
Boost Stat: +50% Charging Rate (+0.5% per Point) & Starting Line Boost last 9% longer (0.09% per Point)
Boost is extremely weird, check out FastKlingy’s Boost Science spreadsheet: CrossWorlds Boost Science
