Wednesday, January fifth

Dear Mr. Laszlo –

Lord Northcliffe[1] kindly informed me in Paris that you had consented at his request to do a page for my Peace Conference album. I was naturally surprised and delighted. I am therefore taking the liberty to send you by this mail a

leaf of the album, and should you be unable to make a drawing on this leaf would you kindly make it on one of this size which will equally well fit into the album.

I have already a page done by Mr. Sargent[2] and also one by Mr. Joseph Israel.[3]

I was delighted to

hear of you in such a pleasant way for I think Lord Northcliffe perfectly charming.

With all kind messages, | Faithfully yours
