Read this summary of part 5, and fill in the blanks with the words from the box.

about, asked, begins, could, didn't, do, enough, fast, have, helplessly, here, last, look, mouth, need, never, this, too, waiting

R2D2 and C3P0 were waiting outside.  They saw some stormtroopers, who were searching for someone.  "I don't like the __________________ of this," C3P0 said.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker were introduced to a man.  "I'm Han Solo," he said.  "I'm captain of a ship named the Millennium Falcon. Chewie here tells me you're looking for passage to the planet Alderaan."

        "Yes indeed," said Obi-Wan.  "If it's a  __________________ ship."

"Fast ship?" said Han.  "You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?"

        "Should I  __________________?" asked Obi-Wan.

"It's one of the fastest ships in the galaxy," said Han.  "She's fast  __________________  for you old man.  Who's coming?"

"Myself, the boy, two robots, and no questions  __________________," Obi-Wan answered.        "What is it?" asked Han.  "Some kind of local trouble?"

"Let's just say we would prefer to avoid the Empire," Obi-Wan answered.

"Well, that's the trick, isn't it?" said Han.  "And it's going to cost you something extra. Ten thousand in advance."

"Ten thousand!" said Luke.  "We could almost buy our own ship for that much!"

"Yeah, but who's going to fly it, kid?" Han asked.  "You?"

Luke was angry.  "You bet I  __________________. I'm not such a bad pilot myself! We don't have to sit here and listen--"

But Obi-Wan stopped Luke.  "We haven't that much with us.  But we could pay you two thousand now, plus fifteen when we reach Alderaan."

"Seventeen thousand, huh?" said Han.  Obi-Wan nodded.  "Okay," said Han.  "You guys got yourself a ship.  We'll leave as soon as you're ready.  Docking bay ninety-four."

Luke and Obi-Wan went outside.  "You'll have to sell your car," Obi-Wan told Luke.

"That's okay," said Luke.  "I'm  __________________  coming back to this planet again."

Meanwhile Han celebrated with Chewbacca.  "Seventeen thousand! Those guys must really be desperate. This could really save my neck. Get back to the ship and get her ready."

But as Han was leaving, a green alien named Greedo stopped him.  "Going somewhere, Solo?" asked Greedo.

"Yes, Greedo," said Han.  "As a matter of fact, I was just going to see your boss.  Tell Jabba that I've got his money."

"It's  __________________  late," Greedo said.  "You should have paid Jabba when you had the chance."

"Yeah, but this time I've got the money," said Han

"If you give it to me, I might forget I found you," said Greedo.

"I don't have it with me. Tell Jabba--"

But Greedo stopped Han.  "Jabba's through with you."

Han Solo slowly reached for his gun under the table.

"I've been looking forward to this for a long time," said Greedo.

"Yes, I'll bet you have," answered Han.  Both Han and Greedo fired at each other.  Greedo missed, but Han killed Greedo.

"Sorry about the mess," Han said to the bartender as he left.

Meanwhile on the Death Star, Darth Vader was talking to Grand Moff Tarkin.  "Princess Leia still hasn't told us anything," said Darth Vader.  "It will be some time before we can get any information from her."

"Perhaps she would respond to an alternative form of persuasion," said Tarkin.

"What  __________________  you mean?" asked Darth Vader.

"I think it is time we demonstrated the full power of this station.  Set course for Princess Leia's home planet of Alderaan."

Meanwhile, the stormtroopers were searching for R2D2 and C3P0.  They hid in a room.  "Lock the door," C3P0 said.

The stormtroopers came through.  "Check  __________________  side of the street," one of them said.  "The door is locked.  Move onto the next one."

When the stormtroopers were gone, R2D2 and C3P0 opened the doors again.  "I would much rather have gone with Master Luke than stay here with you," C3P0 said.  "I don't know what this trouble is  __________________, but I'm sure it must be your fault."  R2D2 beeped a reply, and C3P0 said, "You watch your language."

Meanwhile, Jabba stood outside of Han Solo's ship.  "Come on out Solo," Jabba yelled.

"I'm here Jabba," Han answered.  "I've been  __________________  for you.  You  __________________  think I was going to run, did you?"

"Han, I like you," Jabba said.  "But if you don't pay me my money, I will put a price on your head so big everyone will be looking for you."

"I will pay you," Han said.  "I just  __________________  a little more time."

Soon, Luke, Obi-Wan, R2D2 and C3P0 came to Han's ship.  "What a piece of junk!" Luke said.  ("Junk" means garbage.)

"She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts kid," Han said.  "We're a little rushed, so if you'll just climb onboard, we'll get out of here."

As they were getting onboard the ship, they were attacked by stormtroopers.  Han fired back with his laser gun, and then shut the door and ran to the control center.  "Chewie, get us out of  __________________!" Han yelled.

The ship took off into the air, but it was followed by two big Imperial ships.

"Stay sharp," Han yelled to Chewie.  "There are two more ships coming.  They're going to try to cut us off."

"I thought you said this thing was fast," Luke complained.

"Watch your  __________________  kid," Han yelled.  "Or you're going to find yourself floating home!"

The Imperial ships fired at them.  "Here's where the fun  __________________," Han said.  Han's ship went into high speed, and escaped the Imperial ships.

Meanwhile, back on the Death Star, Princess Leia was brought before Grand Moff Tarkin.

"Princess Leia," Grand Moff Tarkin said, "before I kill you, I would like you to be my guest at a ceremony that will show the full power of the Death Star.  Since you have refused to tell us where the rebel base is hiding, I have chosen to test this station's destructive power on your home planet of Alderaan."

"No!" exclaimed Princess Leia.  "Alderaan is peaceful.  We have no weapons."

"You would prefer another target?" said Tarkin.  "A military target? Then name the system!"  Princess Leia was quiet.  "I grow tired of asking this, so it'll be the __________________ time.  Where is the rebel base?"

"Dantooine," Leia said softly.  "They're on Dantooine."

"There. You see Lord Vader, she can be reasonable," Tarkin said.  He turned to address the gunner.  "Continue with the operation. You may fire when ready."  Tarkin was breaking his promise.

Leia was shocked.  "What?" she exclaimed.

Tarkin turned to her.  "You're far too trusting.  Dantooine is too far away.  We want everyone to be able to see how powerful this new Death Star is.  But don't worry. We will deal with your rebel friends soon enough."

"No!" Leia pleaded.  But there was nothing she could do.  She watched  __________________  as the Death Star destroyed her home planet.
