DLA036-0021 Translation
P.S.
Just as I was finishing my letter, the photographs were brought in, so I am now sending them to you.[1] I should add that City Hall placed a beautiful flower arrangement under your paintings this morning,[2] but that was after the photographs had been taken. I have now sent the photographer back so that he can take pictures of what is a really extraordinarily good-looking wall.[3] It appears that the organisers couldn’t think of a better solution and in the interests of symmetry – or who knows for what reason – they have hung Gyula Sárkány’s[4] portrait of the Speaker Almásy[5] there as well.
