SJHS Senior Spotlights - Monday, April 27th
Class of 2020
Josh Terry
After graduation, Josh plans to enlist in the United States Coast Guard. His favorite memories from SJHS all happened during basketball season. Josh’s favorite lunch was pasta week at the high school. He would like to give a shout out to Mr. Cole for being his favorite teacher.
Larkin Anderson
Larkin plans to attend Kalamazoo College and major in Chemistry. Her favorite high school lunch was the famous mashed potato bowl. Larkin’s favorite memory from her time spent at SJHS is playing the Colonization game in World History. Larkin would like to thank Mr. Miesse for being her favorite teacher.
Andraya Forker
Andrya plans to be a part time student at SMC and major in Criminal Justice with the goal of becoming a K9 officer. She says all her favorite memories were in her sophomore year at SJHS. Andraya is a fan of both mashed potato bowls and pasta lunches. She would like to give a shout out to both Mr. Joe Haydon and Mr. Lyle Hayden for being her favorite teachers.
Zachary Pfeiffer
Zachary plans to serve in the U.S. Navy after graduation. His favorite SJHS memory was watching students pie administrators in the face during lunch his sophomore year. Zachary’s favorite hot lunch was mashed potato bowl. Mrs. Volpi had an impact on him and he would like to thank her for being his favorite teacher.
Noemi Mendez
Noemi plans to attend Western Michigan University and pursue a degree in social work. Her favorite moments were spent in the band section at Friday night football games. Noemi’s favorite lunch was the creative “half and half” pasta. She will miss her friends, band, all her teachers, and wandering the halls of SJHS.
Nolan Becker
Nolan plans to attend Western Michigan University to major in Secondary Education with plans to teach World History. His favorite memory at SJHS was working on the Little Shop of Horrors musical his junior year. Nolan’s favorite lunch was french toast sticks. His favorite teacher was Mr. Etter, but he will miss all his former teachers and lunch ladies.
Anna Burton
Anna plans to attend Lake Michigan College for Agricultural Business. She also hopes to take some time to travel. Anna’s favorite memory at SJHS was Powder Puff football. Her favorite lunch was the famous mashed potato bowl. Anna would like to thank Mrs. Knuth for being her favorite teacher.
Cole Riedel
Cole plans to attend Grand Valley State University to major in finance. His favorite high school memory was winning the St. Joe vs. Lakeshore football game this past fall. Cole’s favorite hot lunch was pot pie. He would like to give a shout out to Mr. Uren for being his favorite teacher.
