Welcome to Our Newest Major: Olga Lopez - EST. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can best support you with your goals. (Geol = Geology major, AEG = Applied Environmental Geosciences major, EST = Earth Science Teaching major).

"Fire, Earth & Rain," Special Guest Lecture on Tuesday: The Dept. of Geosciences will host a special guest lecturer on Tuesday, November 17, 1:30 pm, LL 124. Jerome (Jerry) De Graff (CSU-Fresno) will visit the department as part of the Richard H. Jahns Distinguished Lecturer Program, sponsored by the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG). Jerry earned his M.Sc. in Geology from Utah State University and had a 36-year career with the USDA Forest Service. His talk, titled "Fire, Earth, & Rain", will examine issues around the mitigation of debris-flow hazards in areas affected by wildfires in the western U.S. Everyone is invited to attend, and light refreshments will be served. Calling All Majors - We Need Your Photographs: We are currently in the process of updating the Majors Board posted on the wall outside SL 320. It won't be the same if we don't have all of your photographs on it. The deadline for getting your pictures to Raquel Robello is Monday, November 16th, please. Don't worry about cropping the photo, she can do that.  If everything else fails, simply send her a selfie at raquelrobello@mail.weber.edu. Be sure to include your name with it.

Bus Proposal Between Davis & Ogden Campuses: WSU student Tyler Hall is trying to get the UTA to provide bus service Davis & Ogden campuses during peak hours. Please take a couple of minutes to fill out the survey (only 5 questions). Tyler has also offered his email as a point of contact should anyone have any questions and/or would like to get involved in the effort. He can be reached at tylerhall@weber.edu.

Free Walk-in Science Tutoring: The College of Science Learning & Testing Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Science Lab ​B​uilding​ (SL 229)​. Students can walk in and receive free tutoring for their Geoscience, Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics and/or Zoology classes. ​The schedule for each tutor is attached.​

Registration for Spring 2016 Now Open. If you haven't already, please consider touching base with your departmental advisor to discuss your course selections and overall degree progress. The advisors are listed below:
