       Welcome to College & Career Week (January 11-15)

Monday – During Homeroom today you will be invited to attend a “Career Party” where you will have an opportunity to explore your interests and determine what your unique Career Code is. Your homeroom teacher will pass out party favors at the conclusion of the activity that will include HMS College & Career Ready treats donated by our PTA.

Tuesday – During Homeroom today you will be using chromebooks to further explore those interests learned from the “Career Party” by taking an online survey to help you find out what your interests are and how they relate to the world of work. To start the activity, go to our www.hehms.us website and click on the Activities tab at the top of the page and choose College & Career from the drop down menu.

Don’t forget tomorrow is “My future’s so bright - wear your shades day”

Wednesday – During Homeroom today you will be using chromebooks to go on a virtual field trip to tour a college campus. To start the activity, go to the www.hehms.us website and click on the Activities tab at the top of the page and choose College & Career from the drop down menu.

Thursday - During Homeroom today you will be using your chromebooks again to focus on getting you prepared to do well in middle school, high school, college and beyond by exploring our virtual Resource Center on our school’s website.  To start the activity, go to the www.hehms.us website and click on the Activities tab at the top of the page and choose College & Career from the drop down menu.

Don’t forget Friday is College T-shirt day. Wear your favorite college t-shirt or college colors.

Friday – During Homeroom today you will prepare 2-3 questions to ask our guest speakers who will be presenting at our College and Career Day Fair from 8:30-12:30.

Throughout the week you will receive college & career readiness handouts to take home and share with your parents.
