Strand 1: Getting Started with Google Tools For Schools (20 seats)
Are you just getting started with Google Tools? This course will lay the foundation for you to build a digital toolbox using Google Apps for Education. Participants will be be introduced to powerful examples of using Google Docs, Slides, Spreadsheets, Forms, Sites, Mail, Drive, Calendar for teaching and learning in a hands on active learning environment. Special attention will be placed on features and tools that can best be used in instructional design to meet common core standards. Students will create a learning project that supports their content/grade/speciality area within the school.
Strand 2: Changing the Learning Culture with Google Tools (20 seats)
Are you comfortable with the basic Google Tools and ready to dig deeper into more advanced features? Would you like to learn how to leverage some of the newest tools offered in the Google ecosystem to transform the learning culture in your school? Students are encouraged to attend with a partner or team and create a collaborative project that supports an instructional shift or culture shift. What does transformative 1:1 education look like?
