My dear Philip

It was nice to hear your voice this morning but I am sorry to hear that you are not well – a fly bite can be exceedingly poisonous and give a good deal of trouble but I hope you are getting rid of the effects of it all right. Thanks so much for what you said about Lucy^[1] calling for me on Sunday, I hesitated this morning because I thought my wife had invited someone for the week-end but I find the date she is fixing is later on, so I am quite at your disposal for Sunday.

The short article for “Everyman”^[2] is ready except for the final revision. I want to give it and I have told the editor that I will send it along when I have discussed it with you – it is not wanted till the end of next week so there is no hurry about it.

I am much looking forward to a chat with you after this long interval.
