Thank you for joining The City of Richmond Hill Road Watch Committee & York Regional Police (YRP) Bicycle Rodeo Event, and for encouraging, educating and empowering our participants to learn about bicycle safety.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, June 8, 2024
• Location: Richmond Green Sports Centre- 1300 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, Ontario L4S 1M5
• Time: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

What to Expect on Event Date:

• Learn proper hand signals and safe riding- (Instruction provided by York Regional Police);
• Bicycle Adjustment Instruction Station- Instructions provided by Evolution Cycles Richmond Hill;
• Learn how to size, fit and properly wear your bicycle helmet;
• Learn how to safely stow and remove your bike from the bicycle carrier on the bus- Instructions provided by Metrolinx;
• Free bicycle lights, free bicycle bells*- Courtesy of CAA - (* while supplies last);
• Motorcycle demo- courtesy of York Regional Police;
• Free bicycle safety literature and coloring books- Courtesy of YRP, CAA, Ministry of Transportation (MTO), and Richmond Hill Road Watch Committee* – (*while supplies last);
• Door prize draw- courtesy of Canadian Tire Richmond Hill North Store;
• Washrooms and drinking water available on site ;
• All underage participants must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
• All participants must have an approved bicycle helmet to participate in the bike riding stations.
• All participants must have a fully executed “Liability Waiver” signed by their parent or legal guardian, prior to attendance at the event.

I hereby acknowledge that I am wholly responsible for the safety and wellbeing of my minor child during this event and that I shall assume full responsibility for any actions taken by such child during this event.

I further acknowledge and hereby agree (on behalf of myself, my minor child, any heirs, successors and assigns) to indemnify and hold harmless, the City of Richmond Hill Road Watch Committee, any of its members, employees and event volunteers and any and all event sponsors, including the sponsors named herein (CAA - MTO - Metrolinx - York Regional Police - Canadian Tire Richmond Hill North - Evolution Cycles - Richmond Hill Mayor David West and the City of Richmond Hill), from any and all potential legal liability and claims, etc., arising from any injury or illness suffered by my minor child from participating in this event.
