Employed as a miner in West Frankfort, Illinois in Old Ben Mine No.8, he was Secretary of the Local Union #959, United Mine Workers of America.

Julius and Irma died, tragically, in September of 1926 in West Frankfort, leaving 11 year old Vincent (1915-1965) and six year old Martha (Schultz, 1920-1993) orphans.  Both eventually made their way to Charleston, West Virginia.

Vincent Barazzone and Martha Schultz each had children (Vincent, Samuel, Esther,

Barry and Irma Barazzone; David and Roesanne Schultz) and have grandchildren and great-grandchildren living in the Pittsburgh area and throughout the United States.
