The Director & Manager,

The Medici Society,

7, Grafton Street, W.1.

Dear sir,

I hear from my secretary that you are still unable to give me a finished proof of both portraits [4221] [4535]. I am very surprised that it takes such a very long time, especially with regard to the picture of Lady Alastair Graham [4535], which you have had nearly two months in hand. I go down there on Saturday for the week-end, and I particularly wished to be able to tell them that I had seen it, and I still hope that you will let me have the proof. In any case I leave for the United States on the 8th October and trust that you will let me have the final proofs before I sail.

I have had many facsimiles made of my pictures, but they have been kept for for [sic] such a long time.

Believe me,

Yours faithfully,

SMDL
