Location:         Arena Park Cape Girardeau MO

Purpose:         To provide an opportunity for the area's best backyard barbecue teams to  compete for bragging rights and a grand prize of $2,000

Categories:         Chicken

                      Pork Ribs (loin or spare)

                      Pork (shoulder/butt/picnic)

                      Brisket (beef)

Awards:         Grand Champion* - Trophy PLUS $2,000 Cash

Reserve Grand Champion* - $1,000 Cash

1st Place in each category - Trophy PLUS $300 Cash

2nd Place in each category - Ribbon PLUS $200Cash

3rd Place in each category – Ribbon PLUS $125 Cash

4th Place in each category – Ribbon PLUS $ 75 Cash

5th Place in each category – Ribbon PLUS $50.00 Cash

*In order to be eligible for the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion prize, you must compete in ALL FOUR categories.

Showmanship: Entertainment presented by participating teams to amuse other teams and the public through skits, decorations, costumes, enthusiasm, and crowd participation.

11:00 pm Park Closes (Quiet Time)
