Whether looking for an internship or your first professional job, your initial goal is for these documents to grab the employer’s attention and be remembered.

This workshop will highlight:

Essential components of U.S. style resumes

• Value of your personality, languages, and cross-cultural experiences to match employers’ profiles
• Tips and strategies for drafting and/or revising
• 10-common mistakes to avoid when writing your resume and
• Effective cover letters to market your credentials and strengths

Interviewing Skills for International Students

The interview is an important part of the job search process, for both internships and full-time employment, and preparation for a successful American-style interview is essential.

You will learn the interview process—from start to finish, how to handle nervousness and rejection, the most common types of interviews, typical interview questions, and how to follow up with interviewers.
