Capstan Cottage Holiday Let - Terms and Conditions

The contract taken out by you and your party, with us, when you book Capstan Cottage, is laid out below. By paying your security deposit you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Nothing in these conditions affects your normal statutory rights.

At the time of the booking the person making the booking must be at least 21 years old.

We do not accept booking for hen or stag parties and will cancel a booking if we learn a party of this nature is planned.

Bookings are made by email and payments are to be made by BACS transfer. A non-refundable security deposit of £100 is to be made at the time of booking and only the receipt of this by BACS transfer will secure your booking.

The remaining balance must be received four weeks before the date of arrival. If you are booking the holiday less than 4 weeks before the date of arrival the full payment will need to be made at the time of booking.

An additional damage deposit of £100 will be taken, either by BACS transfer or cheque. This will be refunded upon your departure as long as there have been no breakages or damage to the property or contents or there has not been a need for additional cleaning over and above that usually carried out.

If you use the wood burning stove you must only use kiln dried logs provided. Your first bag is provided free any further bags used will be charged at £5/bag. (bags are located in the conservatory)

Capstan cottage, it’s parking and facilities are for 4 guests only. You must inform us of the exact number of guests during your stay. Should you have extra guests in your party, without informing us before your stay, you will be breaking our terms and conditions and will be subject to loss of damage deposit or extra charges.

During your stay

Arrival time is 3pm and departure is 10am. During your stay in the property you agree to keep it clean and tidy throughout the duration of your stay. You must leave the property in a similar state to that in which it was found. If the property is found in an unacceptable condition deductions will be made from the security deposit.

You are responsible for reporting any accidents, damages or defects to equipment or appliances. Arrangements for replacement or repairs will then be made.

You and others in your party agree not to act in any way to cause disturbance to those in neighbouring properties.

Pets

Dogs are welcome at Capstan with a surcharge. Guests are asked to ensure that pets don’t sit or sleep on chairs, sofas or beds. They are not to be left unattended in the property. Wet, dirty, muddy or sandy dogs must be cleaned and dried prior to entering the property.

Registered assistance dogs are welcome in the cottage at all times and for this reason no responsibility or liability will be accepted for any allergy sufferers while in the property.

Liability

You agree, as the consumer, that no liability can be accepted for any costs, loses, expenses, claims or any other amounts suffered or incurred by you.

We have no liability for death or personal injury.

You must ensure that your personal property is protected appropriately and the property secured when vacant.

No liability is accepted for loss of personal property.
