Pella Community School District
Registration & Fees
Pella Community School District strives for excellence in everything we do in order to maximize opportunities for each child during their PS-12 education. The first interaction all parents and students have with the District sets the tone for the rest of their experience at Pella Schools. One of our goals is to improve the quality of service a parent can expect so that a child can come to their first day of school fully ready to be educated with minimal roadblocks.
Furthermore, parents of returning students are crucial customers and partners in education. They have an expectation that their children can return to school each year without extreme amounts of paperwork and not needing to provide their information multiple times. Fees should also be understandable, reasonable, and easy to pay.
The registration and fee payment processes have recently been dissected, evaluated, revamped, and streamlined to create a much better experience for all parents. The new registration and fee process is now fully integrated with Infinite Campus, available through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
An annual process of a parent entering/updating a new or existing student’s data into Infinite Campus, including parent relationships, household information, emergency contacts, and health information.
Monetary payments for a child to attend Pella Schools and participate in certain activities (band, yearbook, FFA, etc.). Fees can be paid electronically through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or in person at any school building.
If you are a brand new parent to the Pella School District, please follow the step-by-step guidelines under ‘New Student’ on our school registration website page.
If you are an existing parent of student(s) in the Pella School District, please follow the step-by-step guidelines under ‘Existing Students’ on our school registration website page. Or, you can log right into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal and click on the “Online Registration” button.
Follow the same process as registering existing students. You will have the option to add additional students under the ‘Student’ tab in the registration form.

The answer could be one of three reasons.
New families are highly encouraged to upload a scanned copy of each of these documents. If a scanned copy is not available, these documents can be brought to your child’s school building to be copied.
Proof of Address: used to prove that the student is living within the Pella School District. Document should have parent name and resident address listed. Acceptable items: utility bill, lease, insurance bill, purchase agreement, etc… (photo accepted)

Immunization Records: these certificates must contain at a minimum the child’s last name, child’s first name, date of birth, name of vaccine(s) administered, date(s) given, and the signature of the physician.
Go ahead and complete registration. Students still a member of your household will appear in registration. They will not receive an enrollment for the new school year.
Kiosk computer stations will be available in the office of each school building when the registration window opens. A parent will be able to register all of their students from any single school building. An email address is not required for registration, but an email is required to have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account.
The 2018-19 Textbook fee will be available to pay under the “Fees” section and clicking the “Make a Payment” button on your Parent Portal. Optional fees such as: yearbook athletic passes, etc…will be made available on July 1, 2018. Cash or Check are accepted at each building.
All fees must be paid before your child comes to school the first day. However, in the case of financial hardship, the district will make every attempt to find a payment plan that is acceptable to you. In addition, you may qualify for free or reduced fees if you meet certain income guidelines. Please contact our Food Services Department to begin that separate application process.
Fees are determined based on the student enrollment for the upcoming school year. For example, if a high school student signs up for band, FFA, or choir on their schedule, the appropriate fees will be applied for each item. The fees will show up automatically on the Parent Portal and can be paid electronically all at once.
Similar to fees, school lunch payments can be paid at any time online directly through the Parent Portal under the Payments section.
Infinite Campus requires parents to enter fresh health information each year. This approach ensures that critical health details are not overlooked or forgotten, and to ensure that the proper treatment can be given to your child if the situation ever requires it.
