Digital Organizer & Creator
Hours: 15 hours per week (may increase based on needs & candidate)
Compensation: $22/hour
Duration: August 26th-December 2nd 2024
Position: Hybrid, Part-Time Contract
Position Overview:
This role is central to our digital engagement strategy, bridging the gap between our digital content and on-the-ground organizing efforts. As a Digital Organizer & Creator, you will work closely with the Lead Cultural Organizer and Program Manager to create compelling digital narratives that encapsulate the essence of our programming and drive community mobilization for climate justice in Miami's Black communities.
This is a hybrid position requiring some in-person duties in the metro Miami-area.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the creation of digital content that aligns with our organizing goals, including social media posts, email campaigns, website updates, and LinkedIn engagement.
- Report to and collaborate with the Communications strategist and other staff to produce programming content that resonates with our audience and amplifies our mission.
- Drive digital engagement to support our initiatives, expand our reach, and build a robust online community.
- Manage the design and maintenance of our digital platforms, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Implement digital advocacy campaigns to mobilize support for climate justice actions.
- Analyze digital engagement data to refine and optimize our communication strategies.
- Work with team members to develop content that reflects our cultural relevance and organizational goals.
- Keep abreast of environmental justice developments, digital trends, and analytics to inform and enhance our digital presence.
- Develop and produce educational digital content focused on environmental liberation, ensuring it is both informative and engaging.
- Attend in-person events to capture content, utilizing storytelling techniques to bring the experiences and messages to life digitally.

- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- A passion for climate justice and a commitment to community advocacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in digital content creation, with a knack for capturing the energy and impact of live events.
- Proficiency with digital tools and platforms, including social media, website management systems, email marketing software, and LinkedIn.
- Skill in graphic design and familiarity with Adobe Suite and Canva.
- A proactive, creative mindset with the ability to engage audiences through compelling storytelling.
- Must be comfortable creating diverse forms of content including video, being on camera and speaking on camera.
Expectations:
- Provide daily summaries of progress and updates.
- Demonstrate punctuality in completing deliverables and attending meetings/events related to work.
- Maintain consistency and reliability in scheduling.
- Collaborate effectively as a team player.
- Participate in weekly supervisory check-in meetings and other necessary meetings with staff.
- Strive to deliver high-quality work and meet deliverables with the best effort.
