On Christmas Eve, Dad was brought to you

With a life-changing illness, so very new.

Together you worked almost every day

Not only his body, but his spirits in many ways.

Both physical and occupational are your trades,

And excellent are you in the career paths you made.

Your persistent attitudes and wonderful demeanors

Made it easy for Dad to work harder and keener.

Like you told us, there would be good days and bad,

But you kept him going no matter what day he had.

Not only did you give him strength renewed

But your laughter raised his sometimes saddened mood.

Never did you give up on him, pushing him to his max

And always knowing what he could do, even if it was tax.

Not a week goes by that our family doesn’t forget

How you help others deal with their challenges met.

You have blessed our lives, especially our dad’s,

And we thank you for the effect on our family you’ve had.
