Activity 7.4: Colonial Slavery RAFT
Modern rafts are a great way to float down rivers with rapids and unpredictable currents. The raft you will use will work in a similar way, but instead of a river, you’ll be guiding your way through a writing assignment.
Using what you learned from the article you read and analyzed in Activity 7.3, you will be learning to create a written assignment and responding to this lesson’s big question.

To complete Activity 7.4 please follow the steps below:
STEP 1: You need to write about what you have learned, but you will be taking a unique approach to your writing. It is called a RAFT: You will consider the your role, your audience, the format of what you’re writing, and the topic you are writing about. Respond to the four (4) tasks below:
STEP 2: Using your responses to the RAFT, start writing your assignment. Be sure that it includes all 4 parts of the RAFT.

Based upon everything you have learned about slavery, what roles did the Europeans and Africans play in the development of the Atlantic slave trade?
