These are Add-ons and extensions used within google docs which are very handy to use within your class. Listed below you will find a link to these add-ons along with a clip to help guide you through using them. If you wish to add anything to the list please feel free, as this is a handy working doc to help keep everyone informed of the tools we can use.

Google Save (Extension) | Google will help cut down your use of open tabs in your computer's browser. By saving websites and links to documents in a easy visual format. This allows you to create online folders making it easier to store important websites and links in the click of a button. | |
Select and speak (Extension) | Select and speak allows the user to highlight text within a google doc and have the computer speak it for them. This tool could help with reading along with students and for those with dyslexic conditions. | |
Talk & Comment (Extension) | Use your mic to record a voice comment over a google doc rather than a standard written comment. For students who need the oral support, then this is a great tool. | |
Ears Equalizer (Extension) | Offering Equalization across all websites. This could be a handy tool for our students who have problems hearing certain frequencies. I would not suggest to use this unless a student had reason to need this extension. | |
DocuTube (Addon) | This allows you to add Youtube videos straight into docs. This will help keep kids within the realms of learning you want. Youtube can be a big distractor so this will help keep students from straying off task. | |
DocuSecrets (Addon) | Keep information hidden within a document. Could be used to have a list of your passwords for the different devices. Or used by students to handle their passwords. | |
Speech Recognition (Addon) | Use for speech to text typing. Handy for report comments, fast and simple to use. Could be used with our kids who struggle to write. |
