MadValleyHUB
Newsletter of the Madison Valley Emergency Hub
VOL. 2, ISSUE 1 March 2024
The new Epiphany/Madrona Hub will be hosting its first informational meeting in the Great Hall at Epiphany Episcopal Church at 3615 E Denny Way, Seattle, WA 98122. This hub covers the area just to the Southeast of our hub catchment zone, but it is still in its early stages of development. Please come and support our neighbors and/or if you want to find out more about Seattle Emergency Hubs in general, this is a great opportunity!
Our neighbors at the Madison Park Hub will be practicing Advanced Hub Roles. If you have already attended a TableTop 201 drill, this drill is for you! This will be held at the Parkshore Senior Living Community, 1630 43rd Ave E, Seattle, WA and include hearty appetizers and beverages.
Find out more, including how to register at https://seattleemergencyhubs.org/madisonpark/
Help us get more neighbors involved. Assist in planning training sessions. Help spread information about our HUB and how people can be prepared! Do you have special skills? Do you want to meet more folks in the community? Pop us an email at madvalleyhub@gmail.com
We get it. Putting together a household plan for an emergency may not be a complete oxymoron, but it sounds like a lot of work. It can, however, be broken down into steps. Our friends at the Washington State Emergency Management Division (https://mil.wa.gov/personal) have a Prepare in a Year Plan that walks you through what you can do, one bite-size piece at a time. We’ll give you a preview of some of these little chunks, once an issue. Don’t forget to visit the URL above for the full Prepare in a Year program!
