February 27, 1962 - April 4, 2016

Roanne Foley was born in Galion OH on February 27, 1962 to Calvin and Carol Smith. She went to be with her Lord on April 4, 2016 after a long hard battle with brain cancer. Roanne was a caring, compassionate and generous woman who loved helping others. Led by her faith in God, she was an active member of the community, volunteering her time to the Green County Right to Life, Green County Pregnancy Choices, and Green County Literacy Council. She was also a member of the Harvest Community Church in Bloomfield, where she found great pleasure in teaching children's church. Ro didn't know the meaning of "stranger", she loved to talk with everyone she met and share stories of her life with them. Her passion for life led her on many amazing adventures. Traveling to tropical destinations with her family were some of her fondest memories.

She lived most of her life with her loving husband Mark Foley of 34 years in Crane, IN. Roanne was the proud mother of 3 children, Danielle Latimer (husband James Latimer), Marissa Petry (husband Andrew Petry), and  Bryan Foley (wife Megan Foley). Roanne also had 6 beautiful grandchildren, Seanna Latimer, Ayden Latimer, Avyn Latimer, Adelyn Latimer, Lillian Petry, and Olivia Petry. She is also survived by her parents Calvin and Carol Smith and her three brothers Aaron Smith, and Brent Smith of South Carolina and Todd Smith of Ohio.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Harvest Community Church on April 16th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Green Co. Right to Life, or Pregnancy Choices Center.

John 11:25-26. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die"

Roanne was a very nice person I worked with her at The Gasthof Amish Restaurant several years ago and her son Brian and my son Andrew Ray were good friends. My prayers are with the family. She is home now.
