2D animation is when the image is drawn and drawn again with the slightest movement, which can amount up to 6 frames to have the illusion of a full body movement.

3D animation is faster to create an animation if used on the right software, this type of animation can be seen more realistic which is why 3D animation is used in movies and short films compared to 2D amination which only has one dimension.
