Overview of TPM - Free Evaluation
TPM - Free Evaluation should be installed on Linux platform. The server on which TPM - Free Evaluation will be installed should meet the following system requirements:
8 GB RAM or more
40 GB or more (determined by transaction volume)
Linux 6 / Oracle Linux 7
Oracle 11g / 12C
If database doesn’t exist on the same server, then install Oracle Utilities / Oracle client on the server.
The installer tested well on the below environments:
2 Core i3-4010U CPU @ 1.70GHz
Oracle Linux 7
2 Core Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500@ 2.93GHz
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.0 (Santiago)
IMPORTANT: If you are connecting to a UNIX machine across the open Internet, Triniti recommends you use SSH for better security.
NOTE: If you are installing from your MS Windows desktop, you need to have a Win32® Telnet and SSH® client along with an xterm terminal emulator (such as PuTTY, a free implementation that can be downloaded from the internet). You also need to have a PC X connectivity tool to run and display UNIX applications from your Microsoft® Windows® environment (such as VNC Viewer).
The clients that access the TPM - Free Evaluation server should meet the following system requirements:
1 GB RAM or more
1.5 GHz processor or above
Windows XP with Service Pack 4 / Windows 7
Internet Explorer ver. 9.0 or above
v1.6.0_33 for accessing java applet applications
Note: Installer will install Java, Tomcat and Deployment folder in this user. Custom schemas will be created by Installer.
Basically, TPM - Free Evaluation Installer performs the following steps:
Triniti Custom Schema
Note: It is a GUI based installer, so it requires VNC Viewer for installation. Ensure that VNC Server is running on the machine that you’re connecting to.
Installation should be done by DBA or IT person.
Reason: Installation needs Oracle SYSTEM User Password for creation of Triniti custom
schemas by the installer.
TPM - Free Evaluation is developed and supported by Triniti Framework, which is also deploy-able Web application that can run on any application server that conforms to the Servlet API specification version 2.2 or later. The Triniti Framework components will be installed first when you run TPM - Free Evaluation installer.
As these components need to access different schemas in the database, we need to specify connection properties while installing TPM - Free Evaluation.
Note: If installation is to be done remotely, a Win32 Telnet and SSH client along with an xterm terminal emulator (such as PuTTY) can be used.
Note: If installation is done remotely, the files from the CD inserted on the terminal’s CD-ROM drive can be transferred to the server using a Window-based FTP application (such as WinSCP).
Note: If installation is to be done remotely using a Windows terminal, make sure that the PC X connectivity tool (such as VNC Viewer) is activated.
New Session ID is 30.
For example: 192.168.0.23:30
Then the following Screen appears
You see the following screen after entering the commands mentioned above.
The screen displays a brief introduction of the installer. Click Next button.
20.Click Next. The following screen will be displayed.
Enter database connection properties for SYSTEM. Installer will create the Triniti custom schema in the database with SYSTEM schema.
If database is available in another server, enter data file path manually in the Data File (.dbf) Location field.
The above panel allows the user to create schema on database server. The following details are to be entered.
The following screen is displayed indicating that the installation is in process.
When the process of installation is completed, the screen indicating successful completion of TPM - Free Evaluation installation is displayed.
NOTE: TPM - Free Evaluation server requires X server on linux, so we must run the .bash_profile and start the tomcat from the same VNC session which is used for installation.
Wait for server to start completely (log file shows “server started in <n> seconds).
And then start accessing TPM - Free Evaluation URL with “admin/welcome@321” credentials.
NOTE: Replace <host name>:<port> with the values provided while installation.
