Dear Mrs. Laszlo

 

I hope you will not worry about things in anticipating events which may never happen especially as you appear to have misunderstood my remarks to which you refer in your letter. What I said in effect was that there was a demand which was being profected publicly that all naturalisations granted since the

commencement of the war should be withdrawn. That you have probably seen yourself in the press.

But that such a demand will be acceded to is quite another story. In any case legislation would be necessary & there would be opposition without doubt from many quarters.

My advice to you is to put aside any anticipation of such happenings. To worry about the possibility of things eventuating in this way is unwise if I may say so & will do not good.
