  1. GENERAL

1.0 Definition of Terms

1.0.1 Match: Consists of three games using Duels format, in which the first Player to win two games is determined to be the winner.

1.0.2 Best-of-three (“Bo3”): A “Best-of-3” consists of three games. The first player to win two (2) games is the winner of the Bo3 match.

1.0.3 Duels Format (“Duels”): A Duels match is a Bo3 match where each player must use a unique deck each game. Players may not use a card in more than 1 game per match. The first Player to 2 Deck wins, wins the overall match. All matches in the Tournament, except the Open Qualifiers,will use Duels.

1.0.4 Double Elimination: Players compete in a bracket format using two brackets: an upper bracket (for Players without a loss) and a lower bracket (for Players with 1 loss). Players are eliminated from the competition after 2 losses.

1.0.5. Ties: In the scenario of a tie, the game will evenly damage the Players’ remaining towers until a winner is decided. If a true tie occurs and the game cannot determine a winner, the Players will start a new game to determine a winner.

1.1. Conditions of participation in the league

All participants must read and accept these regulations.

1.2. Participation Eligibility

Any player who is at least 16 years old and resides in a country where Clash Royale is available to download in the local app store can participate. Any Player aged 16-17 (16-18 in South Korea, 16-19 in Japan) will be required to confirm on their verification form that they have parental or guardian consent to participate in this event. Players residing in China may not participate.

The tournament organizer, Tournament Operations Staff, and its partner companies employees are not eligible to participate or register in the tournament.

1.3. Game accounts

Players must provide their game tag. The account cannot have violated any Supercell TOS.

Players' accounts must be in good standing with respect to the CRL Warmup Rules, and their Clash Royale account registered in their name must not have any violations of the Game’s applicable Terms of Service and Safe and Fair Policy. Accounts will be checked to ensure there are no violations of the Terms of Service several times throughout the Tournament, at the discretion of the Tournament Administration.

If a player qualifies for the second phase of the tournament but their account fails the checks conducted by Supercell, they will be disqualified from the tournament. Their replacement will be the next eligible player from the qualifier where that spot was earned.

1.4 Names and Nicknames

The nicknames of all players participating in the competition must contain at least part of the nickname by which they are known.

2.1. Prize distribution

The competition has a total prize pool of $15,000 divided as follows:

  • 1st: $7,500
  • 2nd: $3,000
  • 3rd: $1,500
  • 4th: $1,000
  • 5th-8th: $500

3.1. Phases of the competition

The competition consists of three phases: Open qualifiers, group phase and final bracket.


3.1.1.Open  Qualifiers

There will be a total of 4 Open Qualifiers, each consisting of 2 in-game Tournaments of 1,000 players

 

  • Duration: 1h
  • Game mode: Normal Battles
  • Level Cap: 11
  • Max losses: 5

The tournament will be announced with a name and password at the scheduled time each day.

Players will have two ways to access the tournament information: through the official competition Discord, in the "qualifier-announcement" section, where the tournament name and password will be posted, and through each streamer’s broadcast, where the same information will be shared so everyone can follow along.

3.1.1.2 - Clan Requirements

The top 8 players of each 1000-player tournament will play a 16-player single-elimination bracket right after the end of the in-game tournament.

The Top 4 of this single-elimination bracket will automatically qualify for the Group Phase.

3.1.2. Group Phase

  • The 16 qualified players and 8 invited players will be split into 4 groups (seed explained below)
  • Each group will be composed of 6 players
  • Single round robin (Best of 3 games) in Normal Duels Format

Invited players seeding are based on the past CRL Worlds Finals 2024 performance and the qualifiers players will be randomly placed in the groups.

Each group will also contain one player from each qualifier, with the players being randomly assigned to the groups. Hence, one player from each qualifier will be placed in a different group.

  • Advancement: Top 3 players from each group (12 total) move to Phase 3.
  • Seeding: Top 1 of each group gets a bye in the first round and will be placed in the upper bracket of Round 2. The top 2 of each group will be seeded with a player who placed 3rd in another group, as described in the image below.

3.1.2.1. Tie-breaker

In the event of a tie in matches victories, the tiebreaker criteria are as follows:

  • Head to head (only between 2 players)

In the event of 3 or more players being tied, the tiebreaker will be:

  • Games Difference
  • Crowns Difference

In the event of a tie where the criteria does not resolve the situation, there would be an extra match between the players. In the event of another tie, the final solution will be a draw.

3.1.3. Final Bracket

12-Player Double-elimination Bracket where each round will be played in a Normal Duels (Bo3)

Upper Bracket Finals, Lower Bracket Finals and Grand Finals will be played in Normal Duels (Bo5)

  1. PREPARATION FOR THE MATCH

All players must follow a series of steps on game days. The time for matches are not exact, so your match could start earlier or later. Players must check in and be ready at 14:00 UTC.

This only applies for the Group Phase and the Final Bracket.

4.1. Use of the camera

Players are required to have and use their own camera for broadcast purposes during their matches. The camera may be mandatory in all phases except the Open Qualifiers.. Refusal to use it will lead to disqualification/penalties from the tournament.

4.1.1. Conduct to be followed

While on camera, it is considered inappropriate to perform:

 

  • Offensive gestures (middle finger, L, neck cutting, etc)
  • Nudity of any kind (including shirt removal)
  • Behavior that is offensive to the opponent or the viewers
  • Drinking alcohol or smoking
  • Breaking Twitch community guidelines

 

Players are encouraged to be creative, funny and spontaneous with their reactions and interaction with the camera as long as they comply with these guidelines.

 

4.1.2. Sponsorships, apparels and branding

Player’s sponsorships, apparels, and branding must follow the Clash Royale Safe and Fair Play Policy Guidelines. Players will be required to remove or block out their sponsors, apparels, or branding during broadcast or live events if they do not meet the required guidelines. Items that fall under these categories include, but are not limited to:

- Alcohol

- Non over-the-counter drugs

- Gambling

- Tobacco products

- Firearms

- Pornography

 

4.1.3. Sanctions

Players who violate the rules will receive a warning, in case of recidivism they will be sanctioned for one match.

 

4.2. Match procedure

The instructions will be given by the clan’s text chat, the referee will be in charge of indicating when to start a match.

4.3. New cards

If a new card is released, it cannot be used until it is available for all the players in the game.

4.4. Rematch

A game that must be replayed is considered a rematch, either due to a draw or for another reason.

4.5. Disconnections/lag during games

Players are primarily responsible for ensuring a good internet connection that does not cause problems during the course of matches.

4.5.1. Player disconnection

The organization will not be responsible for the loss of connection of any player nor will it be a valid reason to rematch.

4.5.2. Server crash

In case of server problems that affect all the players in the game in a general way, it can be a rematch if the organization deems it appropriate.

4.5.3. Continuation of an interrupted match

In the event that a match is interrupted due to force majeure such as maintenance or server crash, the match would take place on a date to be determined with the same result as at the time of the interruption.

5. Code of conduct

Playersmust always maintain sportsmanship like behaviour to their opponents. In particular, violent behavior or language that violates the dignity of people will not be allowed.

The player must bear in mind that the matches are broadcasted and are therefore accessible to minors.

The players and team members are obliged to know the competition rulebook and pay attention to the instructions of the referees during the matches.

It is forbidden to allow yourself to be won or play badly on purpose to adulterate the result of the match, if this happens, it will be reviewed by the league ops and the player will be penalized.

The organization has the right to evaluate and sanction an irregular conduct of a player including, but not limited to, social networks, online forums, streams or emails.

6. Right to modify and accept the agreement

The organization reserves the right to modify the rules at any time that is necessary in order to guarantee fair play and the integrity of the competition.

All players who play the competition will automatically accept everything set forth in these regulations.
