07/16/2019 (NEW) - Hot Grease’s rating increased from 6.5 to 7.5.  I’ll try my best to add it ratings for six-star birds with the limited information that I have about them.

ALL INFO ABOUT RARE BIRDS/ PREFERRED EVOLUTIONS (SPOILER ALERT!!):

Hey folks!  Below you can find info for all four & five star birds sorted out by color alphabetically.  Along are the “suggested” evolution for each bird.  This doesn’t necessarily mean that the evolution is the better one for you; but I hope this helps steer you in the right direction while you make your decision.  Birds with three asterisks before the name (***) means that a master version of the bird was temporarily available at least one time, whether it be completing a certain number of nightmare stages, hatching it as the third event bird in the hatchery, or by winning it from Eagle Mountain.

***Angry Santa ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Deck The Hall over Let it Blow (Although the Krumpus evolution looks cooler, he does not do as much damage, even though the first pig travels further.  Most of this bird’s damage is dealt by the gifts that explode.)

Personal opinion: (3.5/10) Too situational.  Prestige the bird only if it has a 400%+ bonus in the current or next event - obviously due to its seasonality, this won’t happen often.  This bird is generally fodder due to its SS counter (unless you use the Krumpus version as bird in end-game daily challenge teams - bonus points here since these daily challenge levels are difficult). Therefore, I wouldn’t bother making this bird six stars even though it has a decent awakening skill.

SS Counter: 3

Body shape: Chubby

Class: Supernatural/Bird Villain

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus Red - All red birds in team get +30% attack power

Awakening skill: Heals the team’s HP by 5% every time a pig gets KOed.

***Beast ★★★★★  (event)

Preferred evolution: Mega Nova over Desintegrate (Choose Desintegrate if you don’t have a stunner bird yet like Li’l Pecker.  The pig doesn’t seem to to travel as far as it does with other red birds, so not many pigs will be stunned, but it’s decent if you don’t have an alternate.  The flames from Mega Nova do significantly more damage so it may be worth skipping over stun.)

Personal opinion: (7/10) This is a good bird to have if you don’t have a stunner such as (Grandfather Frost and Li’l Pecker) and a good damage bird if you don’t have a better damager.  I usually personally lean towards stunners in events but since there are better stunners, perhaps the damager will outshine the stunner in the endgame.  It has a decent awaken skill as well, so feel free to take this bird to six stars if you’d like.  Just keep in mind that there are better alternatives.

Bette ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Extended Red Dominion over Strong Red Dominion (This is a tiny bit less powerful, but lasts for two turns instead of one.)

Personal opinion: (1/10)  Straight up fodder, even more classified “fodder material” in comparison to Geraldine.  Although its SS counter is 1, it hinges on the more weaker side anyway and other one SS birds easily outshine this.  You need other red birds in your team for this ability to mean anything, and usually there is only room for one red bird on your team, which is Claude.  This bird will almost never appear in an event, and it probably won’t be worth the 500% buff if there is a better 400% main event bird bonus (and a 999% master bonus).  Awakening skill is very situational.

SS Counter: 1

Body shape: Small

Billie ★★★★★  (event)

Preferred evolution: Double Power Up Punch over Big Power Up Punch (This evolution will spawn more powerups, perhaps buffing your next moves with extra damage or speed.  The other one tends to be more situational as there are less options you are given about what to do with dropped powerups.)

Personal opinion: (3/10) Generally way too situational for me so I’ll classify this as fodder.  This bird rarely will appear in events and I think is only worth prestiging if it has a 500%+ buff.  This bird is near useless in PvP as it will end up buffing power ups for the opposing team, usually leaving you with a loss.  If this bird, in the small chance, does happen to appear in an event, its leader skill should help carry you.  Health perks in this case will heal your team even more than usual.  Awakening skill is sorta meh for this bird, since there are healers that outshine this small bonus.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Strong

Class: Special Forces/A little different

Leader ability bonus: All powerup effects are 40% stronger.

Awakening skill: Heals the team’s HP by 5% every time a pig is KOed.

***Claude ★★★★★ (non-event)

Preferred evolution: Contagious Karate Chop over Strong Karate Chop.  (The strong evo will hit a pig harder and heal your team more, while contagious will hit a pig harder and give better chances to kill surrounding pigs with critical hits - however, less heal.  Both have their own usefulness.  I personally tend to lean towards Contagious as the greater splash damage will do much more damage to surrounding pigs in event levels, potentially killing them while Strong cannot.)

Personal opinion: (10/10) Not fodder.  Level up the bird to the max and awaken it to six stars as soon as you get it.  Although it has an SS counter of 3, its leader skill and critical splash damage to pigs gives it high usefulness in events regardless of bonuses (and the awakening skill truly helps this bird damage even more).  The heal you receive from the bird is a huge bonus as well.  Claude is not as useful in arena/PvP though he is better than many birds here as well and you’ll still see him in endgame PvP tiers.

SS Counter: 3

Body shape: Strong

Class: Special Forces/A little different

Leader ability bonus: Critical Hit - Critical hits deal 35% more damage and you heal 6% of the damage dealt on critical hits

Awakening skill: Push force increased by x1.5.

Darlene ★★★★★  (event)

Preferred evolution: Counting Combo Kick over Intense Combo Kick (An extra 10 combo hits means more potential for higher damage next turn, even though the other is 20 instead of 10, given that you can probably afford an extra turn if you are using this SS.)

Personal opinion: (1/10) Straight up fodder, unless there’s a rare event where this bird needs prestiging.  SS3 birds are generally unusable, and this SS will boost your turn after it goes which means technically this bird is an SS4.  In PvP, many rounds end before the this bird’s super skill will even be activated.  I don’t see how this bird has any usefulness in the daily challenge (maybe if you need a chubby bird that does nothing and will only sit there for requirements) or events (since there will almost be no events where this has a +500% buff).  Awakening skill only buffs itself, which is again not worth it if the bird isn’t good to start with.

Preferred evolution: Inferno Kick over Earthshatter (There is a bigger surrounding area of impact.  Earthshatter might work better in red dungeons, as its pool will damage pigs around it regardless if a pig was hit.  This can kill hard-to-reach pigs.)

Personal opinion: (2.5/10) Fodder, unless it is prestiged for an event (very situational for Chinese New Year events).  This bird was known for usefulness in red dungeons.  However, since quick battle costs were lowered to 10 keys along with regular battles, this bird has quickly disappeared from mid-game tier.  Regular version for this bird in events usually don’t happen.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Strong

Class: Supernatural/Special Forces

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus Red - All red birds in team get +30% attack power

Awakening skill: Increases both health and damage by 10%.

Geraldine ★★★★★ (non-event)

Preferred evolution: Throw Amok Undie over Throw Revolting Undie (Throw Amok will do a bit of damage to other pigs if the main pig aimed at is killed.  Throw Revolting Undie does not do this.)

Personal opinion: (1.5/10) Fodder.  Only useful when many other pigs on the screen are on the brink of dying and are far apart (this rarely happens and generally a different bird can take care of it).  Initial shot is surprisingly powerful though.  Also might consider using if you are running a rockstar team and you need to boost damage of fans, etc.  Really good awakening skill, but no reasonable player will level the bird all the way just to use it.

SS Counter: 2

.

Peck Girl ★★★★★★

Preferred evolution: Chrono Punch

Personal opinion - not super sure yet: (5/10) decent bird with a decent skill but weak power.  However, stunners such as Beast fare better since he will guarantee a stun for one turn while this one has only a 50% chance.  It never is fun to have a needed stun only come 50% of the time, potentially resulting in unnecessary losses.  Powerwise, birds such as Claude will do much better in power while also giving your team a constant heal.  However, I do rate this bird higher simply because she does have a 1SS counter and can potentially stun often.  However, if you have Frost or Chuck on your team, you don’t need another 1SS, and I’d recommend settling for better stunners.

***Quentin, Harbinger of Doom ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Flyers on the Storm over Eye of the Storm (One evolution does more damage than the other with the cost of having a smaller range of affecting nearby pigs.  However, the damage overall is still great with this evolution.  Both of them, although having slightly different descriptions, are very similar in terms of Fringy-animation style)
Personal opinion: (7.5/10) Very solid red bird choice which really should be rated much higher than what I state here.  His super shot penetrates pigs that have shields and does quite a bit of damage for a typical red bird.  Not to mention, the mainly hit pig will pierce through other pigs, meaning you basically also have a yellow-bird SS with the benefits of a red.  This wreaks havoc in many event levels, especially those with swat sergeants, and he can easily become a must-have alongside other powerful birds.  The only things lowering his score right now as I’m writing this are his two bugs: (1) causing affected pigs to fly off the screen where they are unkillable but can kill you once their timers go down, and (2) picking up power-ups but not doing anything as the mainly affected pig slides around the area.  This can result in much closer matches than you’d like, and you must be very wary about your health bar when using him as he cannot heal you whatsoever.

***Terence ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Sumo Headbutt over Steamship Barrage (More damage, not to mention a lesser SS count.  Both however are kinda meh; many red birds override Terence’s usefulness.)

Personal opinion: (3/10) Borderline fodder.  Worse than Fire Rooster, but I rank it higher due to frequency of Terence events.  Outside of needing this bird prestiged for core flock red excavation events (which are more common than you think), this bird has no usefulness.  He also slams down pretty slowly, which hurts you drastically if the bird you’re trying to kill is a moving target.  Awakening skill is pure garbage as well, which does not help the bird in any way.

SS Counter: 2

***Red ★★★★★  (event)

Preferred evolution: Weak Spot over Power Row (Weak Spot crits pigs from the front; which for the most part means a guaranteed critical hit.  Power Row upgrades power ups; while this is good for event battles, this hurts you in arena as your opponent can pick up upgraded powerups.  Sorry Superman!)

Personal opinion: (4/10) Red is not the most useful bird but does have some redeeming qualities.  Red events are common so it’d be useful to have a prestiged version or two on your inventory for 400% buffs (though not the most resourceful to awaken - decent skill though).  Weak spot red is useful in the way that the first hit is similar to Claude’s but falls short due to splash damage and heal.  Superman Red can help you with survival in daily challenge but not in arena.

***Ricky “Red Menace” Redtzky /Elite Ricky★★★★★  (event)

Preferred evolution: Blizzard Blast over Blizzard Whirl (The extra explosion damage at the end of the SS

will basically kill the pigs around it.)

Personal opinion: (6.5/10) For a red bird this does a pretty good job at wiping in PvP as the explosion after Blizzard Blast could potentially kill more pigs as you think.  Generally you can see this bird receiving good synergy with other sports/red birds as leader.  This bird is also a good choice for ‘red’ in PvP if you’re running a Fringy rainbow team.  Eventwise, this bird will do well when he receives a buff of some type, although Claude might beat it in this category.  Awaken the bird if you want because its awakening skill is decent.)

SS Counter: 2

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus Strong - All birds with the shape strong get +30% attack power with an additional +5% for every member of the “Sports Allstars” set on the battlefield

Awakening skill: Push force increased by 1.5%.

***Billy the Blitz ★★★★★ (non-event)

Event status: Non-event bird: Currently available in the Hatching Hut

Preferred evolution: Fast Critical Combo Dash over Intense Crit Combo Dash (Better chance to pierce through birds = higher damage potential even if Intense does give more.  This also means that the bird will do more damage to pigs that turn.  Given that the bird is an SS3, in arena, damage potential won’t even matter because most battles would have ended by the time this one goes - this one would act as a finisher.)

Personal opinion: (1/10) This bird does not scream fodder any louder for other birds.  Decent SS3 bird; however the minimal uses that this bird has really hinders it.  To this date, this bird has never appeared in an event, hence no event boost, and many other yellow birds such as Chuck clearly outshine a normal yellow bird.  Also does not serve much use in MPDC levels and PvP (due to its counter and common class).  This bird is better than Cyril if Cyril does not run a rockstar set - but usually Cyril does.  Also, garbage awakening skill.

***Chuck ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Trial by Fire over Volatile Present (Trial of Fire damages all pigs that hit the trail left behind.  Volatile Present, though the bomb at the end does extra damage, might backfire in the arena, sending the pigs back to your side.)

Personal opinion: (10/10) Endgame bird - max bird to 6 stars right when you get the chance (or get multiple six-star Chucks).  This bird is a huge damage dealer in arena if you put him in the center of the team and fling his SS up straight and center.  I’ll be very surprised if you don’t see at least one of these guys on each top player’s arena team.  His super shot is almost always ready with the exception of the first term.  If this bird wasn’t already good enough, yellow excavation events will occur quite commonly with this bird boosted, meaning these events shall be much easier if you have a couple of these guys.  I’ve seen many players have more than one of these guys in their final team as well.  Chuck’s only shortcomings are found in its nerfs where the distance he has traveled as lessen.  Either way, I’d still classify this as god-tier.   Decent awakening skill - would have preferred more damage-based for this guy, but this will do since he generally will go early on in each game you play with him.

***Cold Turkey ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Hard Time over No Parole (You get little coins from No Parole, while Hard Time does extra damage to pigs with the trail it leaves behind.)

Personal opinion: (3.5/10) This used to be a good yellow bird when it was released, but it is now leaning towards fodder as better birds are coming along.  Doris would outshine this bird in the MPDC end-game totem level, and other birds like Chuck will do better than this guy in arena.  I would stay that you aren’t wasting materials if you want to prestige this guy for arena (given you don’t have any better birds).  In events, this guy is very situational as you’d probably only see a 400% buff during Thanksgiving (unless they decide to go off their schedule.)

***Cyril ★★★★★ (non-event)

Event status: Non-event bird: Currently available in the Hatching Hut!

Preferred evolution: Raging Power Slide over Slippery Power Slide (More damage and a speed boost after hitting a fan.  I personally chose Slippery and am happy with it because I like birds that travel a lot faster - they seem to do more damage in my opinion.  Not that this evolution choice does not matter if not running a World Famous leader ability.)

Personal opinion: (2.5/10) Generally would prefer Billy the Blitz over this one UNLESS you run a rockstar leader.  Even then, I find it difficult to trigger his ability since at times aiming this bird directly at rockstars will for some reason not count as a hit.  However, if you are able to trigger his SS ability, this bird quickly becomes a killing machine.  However, only useful in arena if battles have dragged on for this long (again, this rarely happens).  Also only useful in events if there is a buff - you can never tell when this +500% buff is coming.  I personally had him on my main team before very early on and found him pretty disappointing, even when there were less birds to choose from.

SS Counter: 3

Doris ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Fast Spin Dash over Strong Spin Dash (While you should use this bird if you don’t have a Chuck for arena, Chuck would obviously be the way to go because it draws pigs together with its SS.  If you don’t have Chuck, go with Fast Spin Dash.  Although it does less damage compared to the other, the bird will travel faster, potentially hitting pigs twice or even more times instead of once.  That would end up being stronger.  Therefore, you should go with Fast.)

Personal opinion: (4/10) Fodder and very situational once you have Chuck, otherwise you can level her up to 100 or prestige level 4-5.  By the time you can awaken her, you should have had a chance at Chuck and I’d tell you to invest all of your yellow resources there.  This bird will do well in the MPDC chubby totem level, where this bird can help turn pigs around, and then have Hot Grease wipe out the board.

El Jefe ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: The Creepy Bird Hug over The Hearty Bird Hug (Yellow, Black and White birds > Yellow, Red and Blue birds, ‘nuff said.  This however changes if you factor in birds top tier birds like Li’l Pecker and Claude, so keep that in mind.)

Personal opinion: (5.5/10) This guy prestiged is one of the only reasons I was able to make it past the insanely difficult Chubby Totem level.  No need to spend resources to awaken though.  Outside of MPDC, he won’t do much good for you unless he gets an unpredictable event boost, but I rank him high because I like completing all levels offered.  He can do well for you if you have other corresponding bird colors on your team.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Chubby

Class: Bird Villain/A Little Different

Leader ability bonus: Big Bird Boost - Boosts attack of all Fat body type birds by +30%

Awakening skill: Buffs the health of teammates left and right from the bird by 20%.

***Lady Bacon ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Irresistible Rush over Guillotine Rush (While killing pigs faster and a chance of instant death under 50% is decent, Irresistible works better in clutch moments, especially when attacking pigs have way too much HP.  Say if a OHKO pig at full-health is going to attack you in a 7-wave event level, Irresistible might save you when it lowers the pig’s damage by 50%.)

Personal opinion: (8.5/10) Very underrated bird IMO, though I wouldn’t necessarily recommend to awaken her.  It will be the one carry you through the difficult totem MPDC levels (end-game), perhaps even event levels when pigs get mega powerful.  This is a go-to bird if you do not yet have a stunner, or even if you do.  Attack birds that usually can OHKO you will easily not if you use this super shot on them.  Flockaballooza happens quite occasionally that will give her a very nice 400-500% boost, and there are quite a few master copies out there.

SS Counter: 2

***Scrooge ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Be Haunted! over Spoiling it for Good (the other evolution will make pigs attack the next turn even though their turn counters are still high.  This evolution could potentially instant-kill you the next turn after using the bird, especially in nightmare stages.  In order to prevent this, choose the other evolution.)

Personal opinion: (2.5/10) Even Be Haunted’s evolution is fodder.  Usually arena rounds will not last long enough for the SS ability to even work, and in that case, Doris and definitely Chuck beats him.  I give him a 2.5 simply because he does have an SS of 1 and will always be ready.  Other then that, I don’t see him having much use at all, except in events when he’s slightly buffed.  However, this bird would probably only come seasonally once a year, so I wouldn’t count on wasting your resources here.  Obstacle awakening skill for this guy also isn’t the best as he doesn’t travel the furthest.

SS Counter: 1

***Star Quarterback ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Wide Phalanx over Heavy Phalanx (Wide Phalanx will allow the SS of the bird to cover the entire board...Heavy Phalanx does more damage but doesn’t cover as much.  That means Wide still does more damage.)

Personal opinion: (9.5/10) Definitely not fodder and arguably one of the best yellow birds in the game along with Chuck.  Consider it three yellow birds for the price of one.  Awaken him to six stars for best results. - his skill there is also amazing as he will do even more critical damage.  I deduct a half point since he won’t appear as often as predictably as Chuck in events (though extremely powerful when he is), cannot be used in totem MPDC levels, and his “push” is sometimes unpredictable in arena and can backfire).

SS Counter: 2

Theo Walcott ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Momentum Flash over Race Walking (Momentum Flash allows the bird to ignore all obstacles, but Race Walking does not allow this...which means more distance hitting pigs instead of obstacles.)

Personal opinion: (4.5/10) Semi-decent.  Wouldn’t hate you if you foddered it or prestiged it - don’t awaken.  I find that Momentum Flash is an improvement to four-star Brenda, and ignoring obstacles could be viable to any level, especially with stoned-off areas only accessible by portals.  The thing that holds him back is that he’s an “Everton” bird, and that his respective +500% event won’t come up too often.

Brenda X ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Fast Cut’n Run over Strong Cut’n Run (While Strong will do more damage initially, Fast will also pierce through any obstacle with great power.  Chances of hitting more pigs multiple times increase dramatically - not to mention more obstacles destroyed - so this would be the evolution to go for.  This bird also shares the same leader ability with Claude.  Consider using this bird for a healing bonus instead, since this has an SS counter of 2 instead of 3.)

Personal opinion: (6/10) Brenda is chubby, which can her viable in places like MPDC, and she’s mainly noted because she shares Claude’s signature critical heal ability.  However, El Jefe will do a better job in this level compared to her.  Two other things that hold her back is that (1) Brenda is rare, and who know when she’ll show up again for an event - at that point might as well level up a different “featured” bird for 400%, and (2) might as well use Claude for events, since he is more common and more powerful even without a buff (in exchange for a slower refresh rate).  Other yellow birds like Chuck and Quarterback obviously outshine her in arena (duh).  Her awakening skill description is really vague - increased speed will help her out, but it’s not worth sacrificing resources here just to see what she will do.

SS Counter: 2

Black Metal Byron ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Wide Upgrading Bomb over Strong Upgrading Bomb (More coverage means better chances to KO more pigs. Keep in mind you can only upgrade powerups with either evolution of Byron, not collect them.  In general, this is a meh bird though it is rarer than its counterpart; other birds like Carson and Infinite Void Eddie are superior to this one.)

Personal opinion: (1.5/10 ) Both Bryons are fodder.  I’m very attached to my regular Byron as he’s my first ever five star bird, but unfortunately it’s as useless as Billy the Blitz and Geraldine.  Byron is the lowest tier five star black bird as his SS cannot OHKO small pigs even in arena, plus he upgrades power-ups instead of collects them.  At that point, if you need power-ups, Billie would probably be the one to go to.  Black Metal Byron has a 1.5 instead of a 1 because at least that bird shows up in seasonal music/Halloween events and might have usefulness if in your insanely wrong mind you decide to choose to awaken one of the two.

SS Counter: 2

***Bomb ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Thunderdome over Not on my Watch! (The dome will cause pigs in it not to attack in arena until it disappears, while the other evolution will give only a chance for them not to attack that turn.  If you use this evolution in event levels, note that pigs will still attack while in the cage.  In addition, note that gold and gem pigs will still run away even if they are “trapped” in the cage.)

Personal opinion: (3.5/10) Very situational - not strong nor super great in arena since it makes trapped pigs for the opponents much easier to kill; plus it bunches up pigs outside of the cage.  Because some pigs do attack regardless if they’re in the cage or not, I actually go against my suggestion and ask you to choose Not on my Watch for levels like MPDC and event levels.  At times that chance at stunning is more reliable.  I give it a 3.5 since it’s better than Terence and not as great as Red.  This bird’s bonus however does come up often, so it’d be nice to have a prestiged version of him.

Preferred evolution: Huge Mosh Pit over Raging Mosh Pit (humongous range in arena, covers basically the entire field.  The four-star counterpart was definitely one of the most favored four stars in the end-game, and now we have the five-star version.)

Personal opinion: (9.5/10) Not fodder.  The only thing that held this rockstar back was the fact that it was not a five star bird.  This bird has the biggest SS range of all the black birds, hence meaning that you can easily do a bunch of critical damage plus collect more power-ups on screen.  However, after a Carson event, five-star versions of this bird were available, making this perhaps one of the most top-tier birds..  I hold this back from a perfect 10 because of two reasons: (1) for some reason, at times I find that my Master Carson doesn’t do as much damage as it should - have suspicions that perhaps this bird was nerfed, (2) I don’t know when this bird will come as an event bonus.  Occasionally it may be part of a black excavation with Bomb.

Cenk Tosun ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Oni’s Rage over Rogue Blast (team heal without the use of Claude’s leader bonus is a very great perk, so I consider this better than three explosions.  However, the other evolution, is very powerful too.)

Personal opinion: (5/10) Very situational.  Decent bird (definitely one of the better black birds out there), but endgame I haven’t used him in a while.  Because he really only would be used when there are Everton events (not really common), you won’t see this guy around often.  There are better choices for MPDC and arena.  However, he does have very decent evolutions shall you decide to level him up.  One boosts your defenses for your team, and the other boosts your damage quite a bit.

***Dr. Probotnik ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Mind Control over Cleveland Steamer (While Cleveland Steamer does more damage in the arena, Mind Control can be used to prevent big boss pigs for attacking you for those hard levels.  In event levels, any mind controlled pig will damage others severely if they run into them or simply attack others.  You may find other useful ways to utilize Mind Control as well!  Keep in mind that mind control is one of the less popular event birds; at times the mind control does not apply to the right pig or just doesn’t apply at all.  To ensure that the pig you want to mind control connects, make sure that only one pig is within the SS, and try to place it so that the pig is as close to the center as possible.  This has generally been fixed, but might as well be sure.)

Personal opinion: (10/10) Anyone who states otherwise doesn’t know how to use this bird properly.  His mind control evolution is amazing, and I don’t even have to level it up all the way for optimal results :P

***Dutch ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Huge Combo Explosion over Improved Combo Explosion (Improved is what the old guide states: more combo hits means more damage next turn.  However, go for Huge Combo if you want more coverage in arena.  Given that most arena battles should end by the time Dutch’s SS is even ready, I think this is the way to go in arena.  If the battle does continue, you still got extra combos.)

Personal opinion: (3/10) Fodder for me, but I give an extra point for people that state that he’s a decent bird.  Any 3SS besides Claude I find to be pretty useless in arena.  In addition, his combo counter only applies to the next turn, and most arena battles are over before this guy’s super shot is activated at all.  Secondly, he is rarely an event bird, meaning you’ll never see him around (or even remember that he exists).  I’ve never leveled him up, and I’ve done okay so far.  I’m sure that I won’t have to for a long time as well.

 ***Eddie the Bird ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Infinite Void over Holy Smokes and Soul Sacrifice (Holy Smokes stuns pigs for one turn; go with this even if you not yet have stun birds.  Infinite Void however does much more damage than its description indicates.  Besides the five-star Carson, this might be the best black bird in game - arguably along with Zain.)

Personal opinion: (7/10) No deductions here, but I’d like to state that this bird is strange in the case that it actually matters when you get him.  Depending on when you get him, you have a choice between two of the three offered evolutions.  Bird is pretty versatile, though each has its weaknesses.  Damage-wise in places like arena, he can kill pigs pretty easily, as Infinite Void will always do a lot more damage than stated.  However, if he doesn’t kill pigs, he groups them together with low health and the opponent will be able to wreck your team next turn.  In more beefy places like events, Soul Sacrifice can scatter pigs around (useful if a big pig is standing in front of a threatening pig that is impossible to reach).  If you don’t have a stunner, the other evolution can stun birds for one turn.  I hold him back from a higher rating because he’s very situational, perhaps only having event usage during Halloween.

Kowalski the Elf ★★★★★ (event)

Event status: Event bird: Check the current event to see if it’s hatchable!

Preferred evolution: Baubles Blaust over Jingle the Bells (An extra explosion at the end of the turn means more damage within the super shot.  Generally pigs in the arena will die with the explosion.  Tagging the enemy for guaranteed criticals next turn might pair up well with Claude’s heal, but this is risky in arena as your opponent gets a free turn of critical hits.  Also, downright trying to kill them is better.)

Personal opinion: (5/10)  Very situational.  Sometimes this bird is okay before choosing an evolution due to power-up drops if you for some strange reason don’t have the easy alternatives, but since it takes an extra turn for the power ups to appear, it may not be the best choice.  In arena, the extra explosion could guarantee a kill for pigs.  In events, the other evolution would be more powerful and would give powerful synergy with other event birds.  The problem is that this bird is very seasonal and would probably only show up once a year, meaning in most cases you’ll be wasting resources for something that you probably will not ever use.

Preferred evolution: Hunters Blast over Xenoblast (draws pigs in, making it easier to sweep next turn plus decent damage.  I just don’t understand why the SS allows pigs to turn their faces toward the explosion - this means rarely any critical hits with this guy.)

Personal opinion: (3/10) Okay and situational for alien abduction events (will guarantee that you will not see this anywhere else).  However, you probably could go very far in the game without wasting the resources to level this guy up.  You might instead just want to consider leveling the other alien birds however as The Angromedon has a 1SS counter and Probotnik is probably a 6 or 7 out of 10 due to his mind control ability when prestiged all the way.  For this bird, both evolution choices have a small range, and with his SS ability, it would making it even more difficult to kill pigs via critical hits.

***Zain ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Insane Crit Bomb over Expansive Crit Bomb (Even though there’s more area coverage with Expansive Crit Bomb, Insane has much higher crit damage - so much greater that this evolution is the only choice to go with this bird.  Like Annie, Zain is known as a beast for its powerful critical attacks. While the attack runes are the best in-game, also consider  attaching front-hit critical chance runes on this guy as well.  This is so you also have the chance to get the powerful crits from the front.)

Personal opinion: (9/10) Not fodder.  In terms of pure power, this bird is about the same compared to Carson with the fact that the only thing holding this bird back was that it was four stars.  Now that it is five, it’s a pure powerhouse as well, given that you can critical-hit pigs.  Maybe you’ve seen YouTube videos of how much damage that a four-star Zain can do paired up with sword powerups.  I take off a half point because five star versions of four star birds are pretty rare (especially their events) and perhaps it won’t serve as a very useful bird some of the time.  I also take off a half point simply because its coverage is not like Carson’s, and you must be able to perform critical hits on pigs with less range.

***Annie ★★★★★ (non-event)

Preferred evolution: Strong Threat Punishment over Early Threat Punishment (Strong Threat does much more critical damage than Early.  However, critical damage for Strong is applied to pigs in attack stance, while critical damage for Early is applied to pigs with attack counter 2 or less.  When in a pinch during an event level and a massive boss pig is about to OHKO me, Strong Threat can serve to be a lifesaver as the critical damage increase can be enough to wipe out the strongest pig.  Consider pairing up this bird with Claude’s leader ability, as you would get some nice heals from this SS.)

Personal opinion: (7.5/10) Not fodder. While some people state otherwise, which is why I hold it back from ranking it any higher, I believe it’s one of the better birds out there and will probably awaken her once I have the materials - cool ability since she’s considered a nice finisher.  Besides its small range, it gives you guaranteed extra critical damage if pigs are in attacking stance (this still includes if they are hit from the back).  This extra critical damage has great synergy with Claude, who will heal your team 6% of the damage dealt with this bird.  Most pigs will die to Annie in PvP along with granting you a heal, and most pigs in events will die in events if she has a 500%+ boost.  Consider attaching critical chance runes to her, so then there is extra chances to randomly crit pigs if they are in her way.  Might as well; it gives the extra damage!

Personal opinion: (3.5/10)I originally was leaning towards 4, but ended up changing my mind.  While it can deal quite a bit of damage for a 2SS bird, it’s generally fodder because it can’t do anything else outside of dealing damage (even its awakening skill is consistent with this!).  While it has a higher base attack, other white birds do better than this guy because they have other abilities that will tremendously help you and will be better for you in the long run over damage alone.  Because he was introduced much earlier on in the game, it doesn’t hurt however to have a prestiged version of him since he can be quite featured in events and can have a buff (not just seasonally anymore).

***DedSw1n3 ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Thrilling Beats over Rising the Stakes (This bird’s evolution is considered one of the best birds for nightmare events and I found it a “must” to have this guy in many situations.  Firstly, he can mind control pigs and allow them to attack each other for one turn.  If the bird has already been stunned by a stun bird, the pigs will stay mind-controlled until it attacks the next turn - given sometimes there IS a visual glitch with some pigs.  If the mind-controlled pig moves around and hits other pigs via minecart or your bird teams, it can wipe out an entire wave at level 83, just like it happened for me.  Rising the Stakes is dangerous - while it’s a good idea, having pigs do even MORE damage than they already do in nightmare means instant death.)

Personal opinion: (10/10) Along with Li’l Pecker, this guy will be another bird that people will have or die to have on their event teams regardless if he has a bonus or not.  Even though he is not a damager, this is why I give him a 10/10 and will also tell you to awaken him if you get the chance (skill is bleh, but he’ll be a tiny bit more beefier on event teams).  If a bunch of pigs in an event level happen to be in attacking stance and you feel that things might get out of hand, turn to this guy.  His SS, although narrow, will force all pigs to attack each other (this is a OHKO to a pig if there are Swat Sergeants around).  Afterward, he resets their counters to 2 or 3 depending on the pig.  This effectively stalls your attacking pig up to 2 or 3 turns.  Combined with Li’l Pecker, this number can be much greater due to stun.  Just be weary that you don’t use this SS on pigs with high SS counter as he might reset them to a lower number.  Either way, a must have for your collection and team.

Preferred evolution: Getting Lucky with Pigs over Francis!! Marrry Me!! (A higher chance of the healing passive will be less risky for you in the long run, though keep in mind that this is still not a 100% chance.  A 10% heal is not much different from a 7% heal, especially in places such as arena or event levels.)

Personal opinion: (6.5/10) I give this bird a 6.5, and I believe that this would probably be an accurate representation of this bird compared to the other white birds here - if it shouldn’t be lower.  The healing ability done to pigs is a very interesting concept, and if this connects this will reset the counter of pigs without interrupting the current timer it has left (such as Dedsw1ne).  The thing that holds the bird from a perfect 10 is that this is only a chance, and the pig can still damage you; rendering this ability useless.  It may not be the most reliable method to stun birds if it is desperately needed.  Looks like all affected pigs are marked with a green aura, and you can’t tell if they heal/damage you until they attack.  Big no no for me.

Preferred evolution: Adorable Chain Lightning over Adorable Crossfire (Trust the community consensus on this one man, it is a wider range that does so much more damage.  This bird is considered to have one of the best leader abilities in game along with the most powerful SSes.  SS alone: every pig within the lane makes the beam 40% stronger, meaning that if there are even five pigs within that lane, they can say bye bye.  Leader ability alone: every color on your team will increase damage from ALL birds including this guy as well.  One color = 5%, two colors = 15%, three = 25%, four = 35%, five = 45%.  Now that’s powerful.  Popularly, many people stick with the 35% bonus increase as it is IRRESISTIBLE to have another white bird on the team, such as Annie, Matilda, or Dedsw1n3 - see the pun I made there?  No?  Alright...)

Personal opinion: (8.5/10) Probably available once or twice a year, but not fodder.  If you have this bird on your team for PvP, you must put her as leader or else she’s worthless to have.  She can effectively make your entire team up to 40% stronger, further buffing other powerhouses such as Carson, Matilda, and Chuck.  Unfortunately what I think holds her back is that you must have one of each five star color on your team (having no slot for other white birds will suck since there are so many great white birds unless you want to sacrifice power).  It also sucks to need to use Claude (red bird choice) while not putting him as a leader for heal in PvP.  Beast’s Mega Nova or Ricky is a great second choice.  Endgame I’d up her to probably a 9 (maybe not a 9.5 because of events).

Preferred evolution: Chop Chop Chop over Mad Mobile (The community consensus seemed to have changed on Flockers about which evolution is better so I wanted to reflect this on the guide as well - think about hitting a TNT block on a three-wave mini-dungeon scout battle with a 40425 team power, basically nothing.  While this evolution will do some recoil damage to your team health, it is very negligible for what you get out of it.  The range of the bird is pretty major, and Chop Chop Chop does SO much more damage than Mad Mobile.  After an update, bombs now explode on the same turn the SS is deployed.  However, in places like the daily challenge, these bombs will only scatter pigs around while doing a measly 100 damage per hit.)

Personal opinion: (7.5/10) Paired along with El Jefe, this prestiged bird is the only way right now to complete the hardest MPDC totem chubby challenge to date - at least when I’m typing this on April 13th, 2019.  Paired along with a nice combo bonus preferably from the round before and with El Jefe’s SS, which will mark all pigs to take more damage when a pig is KOed, this bird can instantly wipe out the entire screen.  I rank Hot Grease higher than El Jefe because this bird can at least have some usefulness in arena if you don’t have another choice.  Sometimes matches can get close, and this bird can wipe you down to a sliver of health, which may not be the risk you want to take.  Contains a very good event bonus if it is buffed.

Jacquie ★★★★

Preferred evolution: Long Air Guitar Solo over Sick Air Guitar Solo (Wider coverage will do a lot better than a little more damage; this evolution can be considered one of the best four star birds in the game along with Carson.  Both evolutions also pushes pigs back when they die.)

Personal opinion: (7/10) Jacquie is indeed an amazing bird due to her World Famous ability, even at four stars.  Unfortunately, due to the limited times a five star version of her has been released in events, she is quite rare.  Her power and wide range is capable of killing pigs in one hit in arena (if not, pushes them back to the other side), not to mention if her super shot is able to hit multiple fans that will increase her damage.  Unfortunately due to her rarity, she doesn’t have much usage in events, and there are better white birds such as Matilda that will do her job, maybe even better.

Personal opinion: (4.5/10) Very fairly decent bird, and I’m sad that I just can’t rate this bird any higher.  Unfortunately other white birds are simply just more powerful and simply overshadow this bird in literally every way.  I won’t blame you if you prestige this bird for events, but keep in mind that you’ll probably only be using this guy for that.

Personal opinion: (3/10) A three at the moment is a very conservative estimate of this bird and this should only go up as his release gets more established.  He seems to be a powerful bird as his description states that he can pull in pigs and deal guaranteed critical damage to many pigs.  It is unsure whether this guy will be an improvement to a bird like Annie or even Matilda - it really depends on if he’s super powerful on his own or if he will ever get an event bonus.  His leader ability will make him useful to have in any event team, but he will need to wipe pigs as well in order to deserve a spot in your five.

Master Matilda was available by finishing event levels 51-80 for a limited time.

Preferred evolution: Magnetize over Furious Inferno (Much bigger range, though the fire evolution does a bit more damage with a smaller range.  Up until nightmare levels were introduced, Matilda was perhaps the most powerful birds in-game, KO-ing literally every pig in the arena and wiping the opponent’s health bar.  However, if Matilda does not get a bonus in event levels, she becomes meh.)

Personal opinion: (10/10) High tier and high reigning for an especially long time in this game; expected not to be overpowered for a while.  Generally if used after Chuck, Matilda will OHKO every pig in arena (with exception to biggest pigs in certain levels).  Although she does lack power outside of arena, she is considered one of the best birds in the game due to this single strength.  Seeing this bird on other teams should somewhat scare you as she can easily wipe out pigs and kill you with approximately half your health bar left.  Therefore, you’d be using your resources wisely if you invested her to six stars.

Personal opinion: (2/10) A five star version of a four star bird that wasn’t so great.  Therefore, this one isn’t so great either.  You’ll rarely find this bird anywhere, and other birds are simply better to level up, even if you find this bird in an event.

Personal opinion: (1/10) Fodder - due to this list of white birds, your white evolution materials are better used elsewhere.  A 3SS counter is simply  unusable, and his SS only upgrades power-ups.  Therefore, he’s only a finisher in arena, and other finishers such as Matilda are definitely more recommended.  Like Billy the Blitz, this bird never appears in events as well, and you’ll do fine without leveling him up in general.

Personal opinion: (1/10) Fodder - might as well skip a turn every five birds you launch if you use this bird.  His soccer balls will touch at most 2 pigs while barely doing any damage.  Even with a 999% bonus in events, he will barely help you out, with exception to being a health tank.  Stay clear from leveling up this bird at all costs.

Preferred evolution: Lightning Parade over Hammer Time (Mind control attacks other pigs, plus attack counter of pigs resets after mind control is over.  Hammer Time only stuns pigs one turn.  Some people have found that the unevolved level 1 form of Gylfi proved to be very useful in some very specific cases; so if you have a level 1 Gylfi laying around, it may be wise to leave him be.  Gylfi is also considered one of the rarest birds at the moment so unfortunately you can’t have a full team of him as of yet.)

Personal opinion: (9/10) Very decent investment shall you decide to go on with investing into him.  His ability is basically identical to Dedsw1n3’s in the case that he’ll reset pig’s timers to either 2 or 3.  I deduct a point for two reasons: (1) because he’s an Everton bird and won’t be featured as many times as Dedsw1n3 will be (also a master version has not been released as I’m typing this) and (2) because generally blue SSes are more difficult to use compared to white ones.  Surely, yes it is more ideal for blue birds to cover the situation when two OHKO pigs are on opposite sides of the screen and to attack.  However, clumps of pigs are more difficult to cover.  If you play correctly, the first situation should rarely happen if at all, while the second occurs frequently.

Preferred evolution: The King of Winter over The President of Winter (Ah, the bird everyone favored until it was nerfed.  It used to be that the bird increased the attack counter of pigs every time the pig was hit; now it only increases the pig’s counter by 1 regardless of hit counts.  Either way, this bird is mainly used for its unique ability rather than killing them.  All pigs will turn their backs to the player, meaning extra critical shots.  Keep in mind that in the arena if the affected pig is hit again by something else - like another bird or Chuck’s fire trail - the pig will return to normal and will attack you again.  Perhaps you’ll find this useful in MPDC and events, especially with a fast SS counter!  Therefore, more copies over damage for this guy.)

Personal opinion: (8/10) While he is still a decent bird that delays pig counters by a turn and has only a whooping 1 SS, I generally don’t find him super useful now other than delaying attacking pigs a turn so you can ready up a different killer bird.  Keep in mind if you don’t have an attacking bird ready, you would probably be worse off after using him because then even more pigs will be getting ready to attack you.  He also cannot move any pigs with his SS, which kinda stinks if the pig you need to delay is behind another one who isn’t as problematic.  However, he gets most of his fame for being able to turn pigs away from your team (such as Doris).  This makes it a lot easier to kill pigs in events since critical hits do more than double damage for buffed birds.  He is also rather annoying in arena if he turns pigs around that are not damage killers (!).

Personal opinion: (4/10) While other people generally rate this bird lower than I would, I just like the idea of how every hit does critical damage.  She doesn’t appear so much in events, but if she does, it would be pretty amazing to see her damage potential.  As said above, I pair this bird up with Claude’s leader ability and it’s really nice what she can do.  Besides this, she isn’t really viable anywhere else, so I guess it’d be okay as fodder.  This bird was super rare at first when it was first released.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Regular

Class: A little different/Bird Villain

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus Blue - All blue birds in team get +30% attack power.

Awakening skill: Increases Annie’s movement speed.

***Li’l Pecker ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution:  Drive by Peckin’ over Peck Pocketting (Once considered an “elite” bird, it can be hatched as an event bird now, so many people can now enjoy this guy’s glories.  Drive by Peckin’ is definitely the way to go - though there are lower splits and no extra chances for gold drop, a guaranteed stun for two turns is absolutely amazing, making one this the BEST birds in the end-game, even though blue birds are considered one of the weakest bird colors to have.  No other bird besides mind control does this, and I don’t enter any nightmare level without at least two of these guys on my team, regardless if he has a boost or not.  However, if you need a copy of the other for collection, you also can’t go wrong with it as well.)

Personal opinion: (10/10) Not fodder, even after multiple nerfs, and it’s perfectly fine to have three - or more - of these guys leveled up to the fullest for his amazing ability.  Paired with mind control abilities, many pigs, regardless of power, will be unable to attack at all.  If you have two of them, after the first stun has worn off, you can use the second Pecker on your team to stun the birds again.  Due to this, regardless if he has an event boost or not, he will most definitely appear in teams that have completed level 90 in nightmare stages.  His awakening ability, although not damage-wise, also pairs with this bird very well, increasing the combo counter by x2.  After using this bird, you’ll always have a decently high combo counter, so this will give you a combo bonus of at least +50% for the next turn.  No player, new and old, can stress how important this bird is.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Regular

Class: Performer/Bird Villain

Leader ability bonus: Li’l Gangstas - Boosts attack of all small body type birds by +30%

Awakening skill: Increase the combo counter by x2.

***Murphy ★★★★★ (non-event)

Preferred evolution: Strong Kill Combo over High Kill Combo (This evolution does more damage than the other one.  As with other SS3 birds, in arena, damage potential won’t even matter because most battles would have ended by the time this one goes - this one would act as a finisher.  Damage-wise, even though it’s one of the more unpopular ones, it has the highest damage potential of all of the blue birds here.)

Personal opinion: (2/10) I hate to put this in fodder category because Murphy IS indeed the most powerful bird damage-wise.  However, he isn’t really viable anywhere, including arena mainly because he has an SS3 counter.  He never really shows up as an event bonus either.  It’s possible to use this bird in the daily challenges endgame, but at that point The Angromedon will get this job done and has other uses because she has a 1SS.  In addition, many birds that have a combo counter bonus don’t really do super well due to those that have primary effects on pigs.

SS Counter: 3

Body shape: Chubby

Class: Special Forces/Working Class Hero

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus Blue - All blue birds in team get +30% attack power

Awakening skill: Increases the combo counter by x2.

Paige ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Extended Blue Dominion over Strong Blue Dominion (This evolution is a bit less powerful but lasts for two turns instead of one.  Pair this bird up with other blue birds such as Li’l Pecker’s SS for a nice boost in damage.)

Personal opinion: (1/10) Fodder.  This bird is useless in most parts of the game, except for when five-star Paige appears in events.  I can guarantee that this event won’t come out very frequently.  Any “dominion”-type skill shot is also generally useless as it calls for other same-colored birds to attack pigs the next two turns, which hurts you if you’re pairing up with Miffy’s leader skill or you don’t have other great birds of the same color.  If you have Li’l Pecker on your team, there are better ways to boost his power, so fodder this bird and never look back.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Tall

Class: Special Forces/A little different

Leader ability bonus: Increases the damage of red, yellow, and blue birds by 20%.

***Piggy Nian  ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Master of Fire Flowers over Master of Explosives (While damage is the same, the difference between these birds is in the “vulnerability” it will deal to pigs in the next turn.  One increases yellow birds, while the other increases black.  Right now, there are more powerful “event-type” yellow birds over black.  Think Lady Bacon, Chuck, and Star Quarterback for yellow.  However, black birds only have...Eddie and Cenk Tosun?  Yellow is the only way to go here.)

Personal opinion: (2.5/10) Fodder, though has a nice leader ability.  This bird has come up frequently in events in some reason, but I have found him having near useless power-wise even with a 999% bonus.  Too much of its focus is on how the next bird will do, meaning that you will need more than one event bird on your team.  In events, it is more useful to have a stunner or a bird that is capable of inflicting a lot of damage instantly.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Regular

Class: A little different/Bird Villain

Leader ability bonuses @lvl 60: (Master of Fire Flowers) / (Master of Explosives) - Blue, red, white and yellow/black damage is increased by 20%.

Ron ★★★★★ (event)

Preferred evolution: Easy Power Up Smart Bomb over Rich Power Up Smart Bomb (It’s difficult to collect two power ups in arena; one is going to be more easier and more common.)

Personal opinion: (1/10) Fodder.  When this event was on for the first time, my clan even unanimously decided that we were not going to spend tickets to hatch him (even if we were over 25).  Considering how no one liked his first evolution, why would they even think about creating this five-star version?  He might have been redeeming if he were the only 1SS bird, but obviously he’s not.   Due to his unpopularity, he may not come up often, such as Darlene.

SS Counter: 1

Body shape: Strong

Class: Performer/Working Class Hero

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus Blue - All blue birds in team get +30% attack power

***Snow Maiden Marisha  ★★★★★ (event)

Event status: Event bird: Check the current event to see if it’s hatchable!

Preferred evolution: Gracious Gifting Day over Mischievous Gifting Day (Generally, for any blue bird, go for “more splits for less damage”  over “more damage for less splits.”  In general, that would result in more damage overall as more pigs would get hit by the extra copy.  Especially for this bird, choose the nice-looking bird-awwww-because the more amount of pigs you hit, the greater the combo and the greater the heal.  Note that with this bird, the next turn of your will be significantly weaker after the heal.)

Personal opinion: (4/10) Decent bird, decent damage when given an event bonus.  However, this bird eats up a huge combo for a small heal.  Though this is always nice, such as Cenk Tosun’s ability, keep in mind that this makes your next SS much weaker, almost unable to kill any pigs.  This ability has killed me multiple times, so I’d advise you to steer clear of this bird or use it with severe caution.  Combos after the first turn in arena are especially important so wipers such as Matilda can clear the board.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Regular

Class: Special Forces/Supernatural

Leader ability bonus: Healing Machine - Each time your bird team gains health, this amount is increased by an extra 20%.

***The Angromedon ★★★★★ (event)

Event status: Event bird: Check the current event to see if it’s hatchable!

Preferred evolution: Stellarize over Splitbull (Extra chance at critical damage does better than a small storm at impact.  The storm, in addition, didn’t seem to do anything for me.  This is a nice SS1 bird to have if you don’t have Chuck or Grandfather Frost.)

Personal opinion: (5.5/10) Deals very decent damage for a 1SS bird, though lacks much usefulness outside of daily challenge rounds when this guy is allowed.  Even though Chuck is better than this guy in terms of damage, it never hurts to have a prestiged version of him since “alien infiltration” events have come up frequently with Probotnik and Xenoflocker..

SS Counter: 1

Body shape: Chubby

Class: Performer/Special Forces

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus Blue - All blue birds in team get +30% attack power

***Thrash ★★★★★ (non-event)

Event status: Non-event bird: Currently available in the Hatching Hut

Preferred evolution: Combo Crowd Dive over Power Up Crowd Dive (More combo hits = more damage next turn.  In general, it’s bad to leave an upgraded power-up in arena for your opponent to collect.  Generally, this is the reason why you don’t see many Thrashes in arena, especially if he/she does not run a World Famous set with him or has a better 1SS bird.)

Personal opinion: (3.5/10)  Has the same problems with Billie, the red bird.  However, some early-game players may use him because of his decent 1SS damage, though again, there are better choices..  Thrash spawns a decent amount of power-ups next turn if running a rockstar set - and why would you not use a bird without his ability? - which makes using this bird difficult in arena.  He will rarely have event bonuses as well, so I’d steer clear from leveling this bird too high because you can definitely survive without one.

SS Counter: 1

Body shape: Tall

Class: Performer/Special Forces

Leader ability bonus: World Famous - The birds fame attracts fans. Hitting a fan increases a bird’s damage by 10% times the amount of present Rockstar’s for the turn.

Trey ★★★★★

Preferred evolution: Tag Team Army over Strong Tag Team (Five splits is better than three.  Trey is currently the only bird that can split into this many copies.)

Personal opinion: (3.5/10) Trey itself isn’t the best bird around as its super shot only does damage without having any stun or secondary effects (perhaps it is arguable that his attack will raise combo counters greatly for the next turn).  However, Trey’s leader ability is shared with Fringy’s regarding a rainbow team, which perhaps gives this bird merit.  This bird might be good if you want a different white bird in your team, such as Matilda or Dedsw1n3 (even though Dedsw1n3 is not a damager).  In this case, level him up if you want the full 45% boost.  But honestly Fringy is an amazing damager when there are a lot of pigs around, so I don’t know why you would make this substitute.  Unfortunately I don’t see him being featured in many events.  Even though it’s a nice token to have for collectors to flaunt, this hurts his actual usability tenfold.

SS Counter: 2

Body shape: Tall

Class: Supernatural/A little different

Leader ability bonus: Increases attack power of birds in team according to color variety. Depending on the number of colors used, attack power increases up to 45% for a maximum of 5 colors used.)

Jimmy ★★★★

Preferred evolution: Extended White Dominion over Strong White Dominion (A tiny bit less powerful, but lasts for two turns instead of one.  Because of his low SS counter, this bird was considered one of the better birds back in the day before the wave of new features came in.)

Personal opinion: (1/10) Level four-star birds up to level 40, evolve it once, and then don’t go any further, even if you’re a new player.  Then fodder them into your five star birds to bring the more desired bird from 60-80 or from 80-90, etc.  Or you can sell them for two prestige totems (do this only when you’re at endgame).  Four star birds will never rise in comparison to five star birds healthwise or damagewise, so don’t waste materials investing in them.

SS Counter: 1

Body shape: Strong

Class: Performer/Special Forces

Leader ability bonus: Damage Bonus White - All white birds in team get +30% attack power
