ACES

Assist in a summer program for 4th-8th graders including some 1-to-1 tutoring, helping staff to facilitate programming, and helping lead games and recreational activities during choice time. Interested volunteers need to commit from 6/19 week 8/14 week.

One day per week from 1:15-4:45

East Side Freedom Library Outreach/Open Mic

This site has resources and activities on the history and current reality of the East Side of St. Paul, focusing significantly on the immigration and labor history and current reality of the area. This opportunity involves sharing outreach materials about upcoming events with nearby residents and checking out an open mic event. Opportunities to help with and attend other events also possible.

3rd Tuesday of month from app. 5:15-8:15

Franklin Learning Center

This site works with adults from over 20 countries who are improving their reading, writing, conversation, and math skills. Volunteers help students 1-to-1 to prepare for the GED, U.S. citizenship test, or practice their English skills.

Tues-Fri 2:45-4:45 PM; Saturday opportunities
