Dear Mr de Laszlo
I am sorry to have been so long answering your letter, but as I told your maid on the telephone I have been away – and my letters were not forwarded.
I shall be here except – Saturdays and Sundays until 9th September and will be available on the days you mention at the end of the month

Thank you very much for having my wife’s portrait [5980] photographed.[2] I told Mr Laib[3] I would like a dozen copies. There are two prints – and I will select one when my wife has seen them.
She crossed from [Scilly?] yesterday and I hope to see her at the place we have taken by the
