John Logie Baird

John was a pioneer of T.V. He was born in 1888. He lived until 1946.  He lived in Helensburgh in Scotland. His parents were John and Jessie. John went to a small local school in a small fishing town. As a child, John was very ill. He made a glider with his friend. It flew over the roof and then CRASH!BANG!it flew into the garden. Luckily, John wasn't hurt. He wanted to be in the army for World War 1 but he was too unfit so instead he made warm socks and glass shaving razors for the army. When war ended John went back to his work. John invented a mechanical T.V. There were other people who worked on the T.V. The other people who worked on the T.V invented electronic T.V.s .The BBC company chose the electronic T.V because it was electronic and better. There was also a fire in John's office and all his paperwork burnt. But he didn't give up and he kep on inventing. John died in 1946 because of his illness. We remember John because he helped make T.V. possible.
