How to E-mail Your Instructor and Classmates

  1. Select the communication tab and then choose classlist from the dropdown.

  1. Your Classlist will appear similar to the one below.

  1. Quickly locate your instructor by selecting the Instructor tab.

  1. Choose select all rows. It is immediately above and immediately below the list of names. Selecting it will choose everyone in the class. You can always select specific individuals as well.

  1. Select the email icon beside select all rows after you have made your choice of individuals to e-mail.

  1. The recipient’s DSCC eLearn username and e-mail address will automatically appear in the BCC area, when you have selected users from the classlist.

  1. Enter the subject of the message. It is especially important to include the class and section number in the subject line when e-mailing your instructor.

  1. To include a file that is saved on your computer or jump drive, select “Upload” to locate and select the file(s). To include more than one attachment/file with the message, repeat this process.

  1. Once you are finished with your message, click the send button. If you need to leave your message and come back to it later, select the save as draft button to the left of the send button and the message will be saved in your Drafts folder. If you decide you do not want to save or send your message, simply select the cancel button.

  1. Select the e-mail link at the top of the page to see confirmation that your e-mail was sent successfully.
