Rose Barn
The exterior of the barn now resembles a spooky goth mansion or palace. The pasture is filled with roses of all colors, and they climb up some parts of the barn and tangle through the wrought-iron fence that surrounds the yard. There’s a cute fire pit nestled among the rose bushes, and a nondescript little garden shed where Leviathan stores the beer he’s brewing.
The “fruit tree” no longer resembles a tree at all but is now an enormous red rose, with a stem like a tree trunk and thorns like branches. Apples (granny smith, golden delicious) pears, and pineapples hang from the tips of leaves and petals.
The front door is sealed with a tangle of thorny vines, with a single rose flower in the center. If a resident Rose inserts their house key into the flower, the vines peel away and the door unlocks.
There is a sigil on the roof that creates a ward against any kind of mind reading / tampering abilities inside the barn. This includes Rose’s own emotion-editing powers.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All little red NPC sheep wear fascinators, cravats, bow ties, rosy corsages, and/or tiny top hats.
The main room of the barn is now a two-storey library with a Dark Academia vibe, featuring books from the worlds of the resident Roses. Red velvet couches and wing-backed chairs face a huge fireplace that’s perfect for brooding over, and a huge and ornate gold-framed oil portrait of Vera is mounted over the mantle, along with a fist-sized diamond.
The high ceiling has shutters that can be drawn to reveal a massive, domed skylight edged with stained-glass roses to let light into the room during the day, and at night the room is gently illuminated by the goth chandelier above and various iron sconces and candelabras along the walls. Nestled between the twin staircases that lead to the upper floors, the flock's Crystal Rose is displayed on a podium-shaped fountain. The trickling water and faceted petals catch the twinkling light of the candles and fireplace.
Here and there across both floors are reading nooks and desks for study, and the bedroom doors can be optionally hidden behind sliding bookcases and secret panels. Also of note in this room are lots of spooky glowing crystals of all sizes and colors tucked on the shelves along with the books, and a standing chalkboard on wheels that can be rolled out of its nook for giving lectures and devising schemes.
The kitchen features any modern conveniences one might need. There’s a long dining room table with velvet-upholstered chairs, and ornate candelabras for mood lighting at mealtimes.
There's also a monitor in the kitchen to watch those who are going through the obstacle course.
In the Rose kitchen, there's a door that looks like it belongs to a walk-in freezer but is, in fact, an expansive meat locker. The high ceiling dangles with so many meat hooks it could be a horror movie. Along the walls are wire racks for storing smaller cuts and miscellaneous foodstuffs, as well as XXL chest freezers for long-term food storage.
At the far end of the room is a sliding hangar door, normally secured via Rose's thorny bramble locks, that can be rolled aside for access to the outdoors. Rolling metal tables and portable meat racks can be moved outside for processing game on nice days, using the assortment of tools one might need for simple butchering activities (none can be used outside of this area for other purposes however). But for working indoors, the floor is concrete and can easily be washed down with the hose that's rolled up along one wall.
Weaving through the walls are person-sized hamster tubes like those of a McDonald’s playplace. While they're all around inside the barn and have various entry points, they lead to an underground obstacle course, with a somewhat Queen of Hearts hedge aesthetic. There is a monitor where you can change the difficulty settings of the course, but everyone will be dunked with water upon starting for some reason. Canon powers don't work on the obstacle course, but sheep powers do (barring instant transportation-like powers). If you make a wrong turn, get a step wrong, or otherwise give up on the course, you will be forcibly ejected from Rose via their pond.
AT THE END of the course however, is a simple guest room, with a nice bed and nightstand. The room is soundproof if you beat the obstacle course on its highest difficulty setting, and all powers work in this room. Also, it leads to the kitchen by a set of stairs.
There's also a monitor in the kitchen to watch the course for shits and giggles.
Behind the barn is a private hot spring that consists of two pools. One of them is large enough to accommodate the whole flock, and is warmer at one end than the other so you can pick a temperature that’s most comfortable for you (or you can hop into the nearby pond if you don’t want any heat at all.). The other is a smaller, private pool that’s more for actual bathing, since Angie is like 9 ft tall and couldn’t fit in the tubs in the bathroom. Rose blossoms and petals drift along the water’s surface at all times.
The pools are screened off from the rest of the pasture by a dense hedge of rose bushes, but there are places where the hedges are a little thinner, so you can popcorn whatever pasture bullshit is going on out there while you’re taking a soak.
There’s a path through the garden from the hot springs to the bathroom.
Looks like an outhouse in the garden but contains a fully functional bathroom (sink, tub, shower, toilet, etc) and contains basic necessities like a toothbrush and such.
The default bedroom is a basic barn room, ready for you to update to your personal aesthetic. It comes with a bed, closet, and locks on the doors, but not much else.
