Crystal Farming Guide (for ensekai)
If you see anything inaccurate or out of date please let me know (rainbowegg on Discord)!! I can only remember so much specific information about all this so I know there may be some mistakes in here!
Sections:
Early game Character Ranks: mastering and skill leveling low rarity cards, plus reading area conversations should get you at least up to 5 for each character, for a total of 500 each, so for 26 characters at CR 5 you can get 13,000 crystals.
This is where things are going to get more expensive. This is for after you’ve exhausted a lot of other avenues of free crystals, and after you’ve done a lot of playing and pulling. This is more of a routine than a checklist.
These are some words people use when describing crystal farming, some people will still use jpsekai terms so I included them as well. If you need more detail, or have other questions about how the game works, Ciry made a really great guide here! (link goes to a separate google doc)
Wish Pieces/Wish Jewels (aka kakera): You can get these from either the Virtual Show method (explained in the disclaimer above, as well as in the Virtual Coins section of this glossary), or by getting duplicate cards in the gacha. Dupe 2☆s will give you 5 Wish Pieces, 3☆s will give you 50, and 4☆s will give you Wish Jewels. You can also exchange Wish Jewels for 2000 Wish Pieces in the Exchange section of the game.
Challenge Show (aka Challenge Live/CL): You can find this under Show > Challenge Show. This is a daily challenge show you can play to get special rewards. You can only play it once per day (daily reset is 4:00AM PST). Every time you play, you earn a certain amount of exp based on your score, and the character’s Stage will increase. When the Stage increases, it will give one point towards CR as well.
Virtual Show (aka Virtual Live/vlive): You can find this under Show > Virtual Show. These are like 3D concerts where the characters will play a song after an event, or to celebrate a birthday or a holiday. Viewing an event After Show will give you a special sticker for attending, as well as 300 crystals.
Virtual Item: these are items that you can buy during a Virtual Show. Click the present/gift icon on the bottom of the screen to see which items are available.
Virtual Coins: items that can be used to get Fan Pts in Virtual Shows. You can get these from logging in every day, buying them in the event exchange, or from log-in campaigns. Using these for a certain group will also go towards Fan titles for that group, so make sure to use them during a group’s Virtual Show that you care about, or wait to use them until the half-anniversary event (every group’s leader is there, so it goes towards all groups’ titles). When you spend Virtual Coins during a Virtual Show you will also get Wish Pieces in return, at a ratio of 1 Wish Piece per 100 Fan Pts.
Character Rank (aka CR): you can find this under Characters > Character Rank. Every character has missions for you to do, and when you reach a certain amount of missions completed, the CR for that character will increase and give you a reward such as 100 crystals, 300 crystals (for ranks 5, 10, 15, 20, and so on), or it will give you an extra Challenge Show slot, a stamp, or a cover card. CR currently maxes out at Rank 50 for each character.
Mastery Rank (aka Master Rank/MR): you can find this under Characters > Training > Mastery (third tab on the left side). Increasing MR increases your card’s Talent. Your card’s MR will be shown in a diamond on the bottom ride side. The maximum MR is 5. For 1☆, 2☆, and 3☆ cards its okay to use Wish Pieces. For 4☆ cards, you’re going to want to use Wish Jewels.
Skill Up Scores:
These are most useful for increasing the skill level (SL) of 3☆ and 4☆ cards. For 1☆ and 2☆ cards, it’s okay to just use Wish Pieces or beginner skill scores. It’s also better to save advanced skill scores for 4☆ cards.
Gacha Stickers:
Each time you pull you will receive a Gacha Sticker associated with that gacha. You can see how many Gacha Stickers you have by checking the top right of the gacha page. Each banner has their own set of Gacha Stickers, and they won’t carry over into the next event (the exception being “Event Character Boosted Rate Gachas” which share stickers with whatever the current event banner is). To trade for a character from the gacha you need 300 Gacha Stickers.
Gacha Sticker Vouchers (aka gacha tickets):
These are items that you can use to reduce the amount of Gacha Stickers needed to buy a character from the gacha. Each Gacha Sticker Voucher can be bought in the Gacha Sticker Exchange with 10 Gacha Stickers. You can only use 10 at a time. There are also limited Gacha Sticker Vouchers which are pink and work the same way, except they are for limited banners.
Show Points:
Show points are points that you earn towards your monthly Show Missions. You will earn them for every song you complete (varying based on how much Bonus Energy you are using). You can also get them from Challenge Shows, event Bonus Missions, and watching ads.
When it’s finally time to spend:
** Sparking (buying a 4☆ using gacha stickers) takes 90,000 crystals (300 pulls). You can use up to 10 gacha sticker vouchers to spark at only 60,000 crystals (200 pulls). If you are preparing for sparking, make sure you have the correct type of gacha sticker voucher (green = standard cards, pink = lims)
** When pulling gacha it’s better to save up 3,000 crystals for a 10 pull, because you will get a guaranteed 3☆. This means even if you get no 4☆, you’ll still get either a 3☆ card you don’t have yet, or a dupe card that will give you 50 wish pieces.
