23rd. April, 1931.
I wish to let you know that your portrait [3797] has just been returned to me after having been cleaned and varnished, and it looks very well and has a delightful patina.
It gives me great pleasure to have the opportunity of including your portrait in my forthcoming Exhibition in Paris which will be opened on June 1st.[1] I have been promised all the portraits for which I have asked, and they will make a very interesting collection.
Again thanking you for writing on my behalf to Paris, and with our kindest regards to you and Lady Chamberlain,[2]
Believe me, | Yours very sincerely,
[Across the top of the page] Chamberlain
