6 bis RUE DE MONTEVIDEO 16ème
29th May, 1933.
Dear Mr de Laszlo,
I have been meaning to write to you for some time about my portrait [8882]. The background is getting spotty and looks as if it were running, and all round my chin looks as if it were dirty as if I had rubbed it with black gloves. I would like to have your advice about it, whether I should have it varnished by someone here, or wait until you can see it and perhaps attend to it yourself the next time you are in Paris. I naturally don’t want to do anything about it until I get your advice, and I am sorry not to have written sooner, but I seem to forget about it and only remember it at odd times when I am unable to write to you!
I hear you are having an exhibition in London,[1] and wish you the greatest success. Do let me know when you are coming to Paris and with kindest regards to you and Mrs de Laszlo.[2]
Sincerely yours,
M. Paul Munn
[Handwritten annotation] P.S. Please excuse hasty type written letter but I am so busy with Mary[3] & Frances[4] who are making their debut here this spring I seem never to have a moment!!
