Fictional Physics - Invisibility
Purpose
To apply what you know about the behavior of light to explain how someday we could make objects invisible.
Task
For this project you will be summarizing an article and then creating story about a hero that saves the day using a technology that could be available in the not too distant future.

- Property of light that is being utilized.
- Limitations of the technology.
- Link to original article.
- Creative Story - can be in any format you would like: written short story, comic strip, podcast, video, computer game…
Grading Rubric

Article Summary ___10 pts | The summary does not have much of the student’s voice or is very inaccurate. Terms are not used appropriately. The article is linked. | The summary is in the student’s voice but has a few minor issues or leaves out some details. Terms from the unit are used and the article is linked. | The summary thoroughly explains the principles of how the technology could work in the student’s own words using appropriate terms from this unit. The link to the original article is included and text is cited where appropriate. |
Creative Story ____30 pts | The plot seems unlikely even given the technology. Limitations are not worked into the story. More effort was needed. | The plot of the story is likely given the abilities of the technology. Limitations are given some consideration in the story. Could have used more effort. | The plot of the story is possible assuming the technology described in the article has reached its full potential. Limitations of the technology are included as part of the story. Definite signs of effort. |
