(Note - Make sure you or your parents/guardians load money onto your FACTS account for break/lunch if you plan to eat at the KCK.  If you have a negative balance, you will not be able to purchase any food/drinks.)

***(Please note that next Monday is a full day of school, so the normal KCK menu will apply.  However, please be aware that during exam days the KCK will only be open at break for snacks and breakfast burritos.  Make sure to prepare in advance.)***

Service Hour Opportunities:  Don’t forget each student needs a total of 40 hours of service.  (10 per year) 

• KAMS Foundation:  Empower youth to excel in after school and various weekend programs.  
• 3 Way Thrift Stores:  Help unload, organize, and set up for store
• Food 4 Life:  Help unload, organize, and give out items to community members
• Salem Christian Homes:  They are Hosting a ‘Neighborhood Family Fair’ on March 14th (at the Chino Fairgrounds) and need volunteers to help with games, booths, and more.  Email OCHS Senior, Crystal Wei, to sign up and get more information

Reminder - If you have one or more outstanding detentions, please email Mrs. Martinez for next steps ASAP!  Remember, if you don’t take care of your detentions, you may be unable to take your final exams.  

The Knight’s Brew will now be open two days a week on:  Tuesday and Friday Mornings.   You can pay with cash or a debit card.   And their December drink of the month is:   Peppermint Hot Chocolate!  Make sure to stop by and get your delicious coffee treat!    

The 23rd annual ping pong tournament will take place on Tuesday, in the old gym lobby. There will be a $1 entry fee, and the tournament will be double-elimination and is open to all students and staff! Sign up today on the door of Room #8 by Monday.

Make sure to come out this Saturday at 9:00am as your very own OCHS Marching Band participates in the Chino Christmas Parade.  It begins on Monte Vista Avenue and ends at the Civic Center.  

• Also, don’t forget to come out and see the 6th-12th grade Band and Choir Concert on Monday, December 15th at 6:30pm right in the Alber’s Chapel.  It’s definitely a Christmas show you won’t want to miss!  

There will be a mandatory meeting for all HOSTS for the talent show today @ lunch in Room #8. Please bring your lunch and be prompt!

Remember - There is still room to sign up for the school trip to England and Scotland this summer.  If this trip interests you, please see Señor Slager in room 9 ASAP for important information.

Any guys or girls interested in being a part of the Golf Team this year, please plan to meet in Senor Slager’s room (room 9) during lunch today for an informational meeting.  

On behalf of ASB, they’d like me to remind you that it’s officially Christmas Spirit Week.  Today’s theme is ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater Day’.  Hopefully you are wearing your favorite and showing some school spirit.    

• Speaking of ASB, a big word of thanks for all of their hard work and efforts in creating an awesome week of events.  From the rally to the spirit days, we appreciate you all.  Thank you ASB Team!  

Don’t forget that our month of giving continues this week as we look to bless 3 Way Thrift stores.  Please bring in your gently used, clean clothing and drop them off today in the bin located in the front parking lot.  All donations, and the funds created by them, go right back into the community.  Please be encouraged to participate.    

Reminder about dress code for next week:

• Don’t forget that normal dress code expectations continue next week, even on exam days!  Full uniforms are expected.  This includes OC outerwear and correct footwear.  Remember, no sweatpants are allowed!  Make sure to be aware of the rules so you don’t get a violation and can focus on the important things - like your exams!  

Friday - Always an OC Spirit Day.  Students are allowed and encouraged to wear any OC tshirt with the norm of jeans or uniform bottoms.  Jeans must have no rips, holes, tears, patterns, or prints.  Join in and show some school spirit.
