This prompt week is for the OFMD ships TealOranges (Jim/Oluwande) and Garlic Soup Polycule (Archie/Jim/Oluwande/Zheng). We welcome and encourage any and all pairings comprised of any of the four Garlic Soup characters! This includes, but is not limited to: Jim/Archie, Jim/Archie/Oluwande, Oluwande/Zheng, Archie/Oluwande, Archie/Zheng, Jim/Zheng, etc.
The goal of this prompt week is to encourage more fan creations focusing on any combination of Archie, Jim, Oluwande, and Zheng. While you can include other pairings or characters - Stede/Ed, for example - they should not be the focus, and should be background ships. Fics focusing on other pairings will not be included in the fic collection.
Platonic or romantic or otherwise, if it’s still focusing on these characters and their relationships to each other then it’s very welcome! If you write something that’s platonic ships, we would encourage you to use appropriate tagging on Ao3 (i.e. “Jim & Archie”, which reflects a platonic ship, rather than “Jim/Archie”, which reflects a romantic/sexual ship.)
We would also encourage you again to focus on these characters and their relationships - so, for example, we would ask that you not make a Jim/Ed fic and include Jim & Oluwande as friends - while that’s a fic we welcome and encourage you to create, it would not fit the theme of this prompt week.
No underage NSFW content is permitted. No transphobic, ableist, racist, homophobic, or sexist content.
For any content that is permitted but may require a warning - including NSFW, whump, etc - please use appropriate tags and warnings.
Hell yes! While one of the days (Friday) specifically focuses on NSFW content, you are welcome to use any of the prompts to create NSFW content if you so desire. Just tag accordingly!
Literally whatever you want. Fic, art, fanvids, edits, crafts - go wild!
This event strongly encourages the use of human creativity, and as such we do not allow any art, fics, or other creations that were made using generative AI. For example, fics written with ChatGPT, or art created using generative AI like Midjourney, are not allowed in this event. We encourage you to use your own creativity and skills to create for our event!
Yes! Go for it! You can use the prompts however you want! Some folks may want to do smaller fics/art for each individual prompt, and some may want to write one longer fic or bigger art that meets multiple prompts - however you want to do it is great!
Nope! You can use as many of the prompts as you like, or as few as you like. If you don’t want to use any prompts, but still want to create something for TealOranges or Garlic Soup for our week, we’d love that too!
Sure! We will be trying to reblog/re-post things on the day they’re written for, but you are welcome to do what works best for you and your schedule!
Our Ao3 Collections are only for fics created for our weeks - we will remove any fics that do not fit our week’s requirement, or that were not created for our week (ie, fics written before our weeks).

Yes!! If you used the prompts to create something, we would love to include it no matter when it gets posted.
Yes, absolutely!! There is no obligation to use the collection. Mods will not add your fic to the collection unless you request that we do so.
There are two ways!
1) when posting a new fic, under “Post to Collection” type in the collection name (GarlicSoupWeek2024) and it should pop up!
2) For an already created fic, scroll to the bottom and click “Invite to Collection.” Type in the collection name (GarlicSoupWeek2024), and voila!
If you are having trouble adding it, please feel free to connect with us on social media and we’ll be happy to add it for you.
Note: This collection is unmoderated and open during Garlic Soup Week, so while mods will be generally keeping an eye on what goes in it, your fic does not need to be approved to be in the collection. A few weeks after our event is over, it will become moderated, so mods will need to approve your addition.

Any image posts made by the Garlic Soup Week team will have Alt Text (and image descriptions, on tumblr) and a plain text version available for accessibility. The Tumblr account will be doing their best to ID any artwork or images from other accounts that get reblogged as well.
While we are not requiring folks to include Alt Text or Image Descriptions for their artworks or images, we would highly encourage it! Let’s make our fandom more accessible! This also goes for fanfic that has images, including art - adding image descriptions below keeps the fic accessible for everyone to read!
