Friday 31 October 2014  – Term 4 - Week 3

Value Focus for next two weeks: Initiative and Perseverance

From The Principal

Kia ora tatou katoa, Talofa, Malo e lelei, Bula vi naka, Kia orana Nga mihi nui ki a koutou, Namaste, Nihao, greetings to you all.

Welcome to all our new children and families at Elm Park School. Our Year 0 classes are filling up rapidly and we have had to move some of our new students into the Year 1 classes to make room for the new students arriving. We thank all those parents who were so accommodating about the move.  The children are all well settled in their new environment.

A reminder that we are collating the new classes for 2015 at the moment, if you have any requests about who your child/ren may be with or not please email the office asap at secretary@elmpark.school.nz However, you are not able to request specific teachers.  We do our best to ensure that your child/ren are well placed.

Our stationery packs for 2015 will be available from Office Max again. We are endeavouring to minimize the stationery costs due to the fact that we are working on computers more and more.

If you wish to pay by Credit card for the Activity charge or Parent Contribution this facility will be available from Office Max as well. If you pay before 31 March 2015 you will receive a substantial discount for the Parent Contribution.  Details will follow.

ASB has increased its sponsorship offer to $1,000 from now until 31st December.  ASB will pay $1,000 to Elm Park School if anyone associated with the school takes out a loan with ASB over $150,000.  This could be parents, local residents, staff, and family and friends of staff.  The person taking out the loan just needs to let the ASB staff member know they wish to support Elm Park School with the $1,000 payment.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to make contact.
