IN BRIEF: An opportunity to showcase your research & network with visiting scientist!

On November 13th, the Associate Dean’s Lecture Series will be welcoming visiting scientist Nancy Thornberry. Nancy Thornberry is an Independent Consultant and former Senior Vice President and Franchise Head for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Merck. She has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with responsibilities spanning drug discovery, research & development, business development, customer engagement, and scientific strategy. Her visit will include a morning research seminar and an afternoon lecture.

Five postdocs will have the opportunity to give a 10-minute research presentation during the morning seminar (Thursday, 11/13, ~9:30 - 11:30 am). To be considered for this networking and visibility opportunity, please send a brief abstract (500 words max) to postdoc@jhmi.edu by Monday, October 6, 2014.

Nancy Thornberry’s lecture will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 13 in the Mountcastle Auditorium. Mark your calendars! For more details, click here.
