LifeTrac Construction Set Script
Title graphic | For the last 5 years, we have been working on the Global Village Construction Set. The goal: to make a lifesize construction set for all types of machines - basically: a lifesize Lego set. |
Image from presentation | It all started on April 24, 2008 - when I first spoke of the Global Village Construction Set in a presentation I gave at a local university - University of Missouri, Columbia. |
A lot of water has flown under the bridge since then...

… Go to these examples. | |
1. Tractor scaling up to 4 power cubes - 100 hp (40 hours of fabrication - 1 day per each Power Cube reform into 4x4 frame) 2. Tractor scaling in mass (using 1/2" 4x4s instead of 1/4") - 3. Tractor scaling in drive (geardown) (requires about 20 hours of fabrication time) 4. Tractor scaling to bulldozing power (replacement of loader with dozer blade) 4.1 Modification to springs for groundhugging instead of groundhug pivot. 5. Addition of backhoe. (requires about 20 hours of fabrication time) 6. Addition of several universal rotors (cement mixer, pelletizer, hammermill, trencher) 7. Supersizing trencher from 3 to 6 feet in diameter 8. Then add the Ironworker - as a nail on coffin on diversity of machines that can be built. 9. Include laser cutter (nov 1-9 build planned in Austria, talking to Stefan on Monday) for scale models 10. Include animations - Emmet is learning Sketchup to help create animations with a screen capture program.
Lessons Learned in 2013 with 6 in 60 and LifeTrac 5 have laid the groundwork for above
