HCHS is producing the brand new musical, Pride & Prejudice, based on the beloved novel by Jane Austen. This musical was written in 2023, and we are officially the first production ever in the state of Michigan! Performance dates are November 20, 21 and 22 @ 7pm and November 22 @ 2:00pm. Tickets are $10 each. Get your TICKETS HERE!

OK Conference Schools are uniting to "CAN" hunger. Holland Christian is partnering with all of the OK Conference schools to collect non-perishable food items until November 21st. Please bring in items to the "cans" on mainstreet. Our goal is to collect 50,000 food items as an OK Conference. We are greater, together! We are more than an athletic conference! We will make a difference in the lives of others!

The Holland Christian Jazz Bands and the Old Timer’s Jazz Band are proud to present Swingin’ the Night Away in the HCHS cafeteria this Friday, November 14, from 6:45 to 9pm. Admission is $5 (cash only) and goes to support our music programs at HCS. New to swing dancing? No worries! The Hope College Swing Club will be on hand from 6:45pm-7:30pm to teach us the basic steps of swing, so the evening can be enjoyed by novice and experienced  dancers alike. Not in the mood for dancing? Come socialize, indulge in some delicious  desserts, punch, and enjoy the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and more.

BROADWAY: THE LION KING  Want to see a Broadway Play? A group of 30 HCS students are going to go see The Lion King in Grand Rapids on Saturday, April 18 @ 7:30pm. Tickets are $40 a piece. Any students are welcome to come! If you are interested and would like to reserve your spot, please email Mrs. Davis (jdavis@hollandchristian.org). Tickets are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis!

Seniors! Would you like to walk where Jesus’ walked? This year the May Israel Seminar Trip is co-sponsored by That the World May Know (TTWMK) and Grand Rapids Christian High School and is offered to Holland Christian Seniors. Organized by RVL and led by David Mosterd, you will walk on the paths where Abraham, Ruth, David, Elijah and Tamar walked, hike to the villages where Jesus led his disciples and to the city where he died. Hear God speak in the setting he chose for the Bible’s story. The Introduction Meeting will be Wednesday, November 19 from 7:00 – 8:30 AM in the Lecture Hall. We will share the Seminar itinerary and explain how to register for the Seminar and apply for a scholarship from TTWMK. Parents are invited to attend the meeting and there will be an opportunity for questions. E-mail RVL (rvanderlaan@hollandchristian.org) if you cannot make the meeting and need more information.

The Special Olympics Inclusive Youth Leadership Group, known as Maroons Activation Committee/MAC, works towards promoting inclusion and belonging at HCHS. If you are interested in being a part of this group, please fill out this form. More information is included in the form. Boys Basketball Harvest Hoopfest 3 v 3 Tourney. Join us for our 1st Annual 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, November 29, 8am-12pm. The cost is $100 per team, which includes a t-shirt for each player and a guarantee of three games. Divisions include 3rd/4th grade boys, 5th/6th grade boys, 7th/8th grade boys, HS level, Men’s 20 and over, and Men’s 40 and over. All games will be held across 8 courts at the High School, Middle School, and Pine Ridge. We’ll also feature exciting individual competitions — a 3-Point Contest and a Free Throw Contest, each with a $10 entry fee and a $25 gift card prize for the winner. Pride & Prejudice Preview during Flex - You're invited to come see a preview of our Fall Musical, Pride and Prejudice! We will be holding a preview of the show during Flex next Monday, Nov 17, in the Auditorium. The preview will be about 20 minutes long, after which time, you can head back to your normal Flex. Future Prep'd Academy Internship Program - The Future Prep'd Academy Program is a local opportunity that helps students learn about the professional world and complete an internship (with college credits, too!). Future Prep'd pairs students (9th-12th grade) with local businesses where they immerse themselves in the business with a team of other Ottawa County area students to solve a real challenge the business is facing. The program is two days a week, and typically runs from 3ish-5pm (January 6th-February 28th) for 8-weeks (16 total meetings). Reliable transportation to and from your business is required. Holland Christian’s Entrepreneurship class is raising money for Refuge on the Rock, an orphanage in Guatemala. Our students have been working hard to make quality products, home decor, and more, which you can shop for at hcdesigns.store!
