IN BRIEF: JHPDA Executive Board Elections 2016-2017

The JHPDA is the oldest postdoctoral organization in the country. Representing over 1500 postdocs at Hopkins, we are an organization for postdocs, run by postdocs. Officer elections for the 2016-2017 term are now open. All SOM, SPH and SON postdocs are eligible to vote. Voting is restricted to one vote per person! The positions open are Co-President (2 positions), Treasurer (1 position) and Secretary (1 position).


Voting closes on Friday July 29th at 11:59 pm.

Newly elected officers will be announced during the JHPDA board meeting on Wednesday August 3rd (PCTB 113/114 at 5.30) and in the weekly bulletin. Here are the nominees for this year’s executive board:

Johns Hopkins School of Medicine New Postdoc Meet and Greet Wed., July 27th

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs invites new postdocs to attend the New Postdoc Meet and Greet! At this event, you will learn about available training and career resources and network with fellow postdocs. Members of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, the Professional Development and Career Office, and the Postdoc Association will be there to talk with you about:

  • Hopkins training resources, offices, and organizations

  • Upcoming professional development and career exploration events

  • Strategies for a successful postdoctoral fellowship

This event is geared toward postdocs in their first year as postdoctoral fellows here in the School of Medicine, but all are welcome to attend. Early career planning is key to success, so please join us!
