REGIMENTAL HEADQUARTERS,
IRISH GUARDS,
BIRDCAGE WALK,
LONDON, S.W.1.
13th June, 1931.
Dear Sir,
You may remember that I saw your [sic] in December of last year, with reference to having your picture of Lord Cavan [4037] (with two slight alterations, i.e., cap and medal ribbons) copied for the Irish Guards.
You very kindly gave your consent to the picture being copied by Mr. S.P. Kendrick.[1] I then had to let the matter drop owing to shortage of funds.
I have now obtained the necessary funds. Have I permission to proceed with the matter, and arrange for Mr. Kendrick to have the picture during the last week in July?[2]
I am estimating that Mr. Kendrick’s fee will not exceed £70.0.0., and that the frame will cost about £25.0.0.
Yours sincerely,
R.V. Pollok
Colonel,
Commanding Irish Guards.
