2H - Engine does not shut down reliably

Symptoms

Cause

The EDIC rod may be too short and the Fuel Control Level on the Injection Pump is not reliably being switched to OFF.

Resolution

You need to get eyes on your EDIC rod. If the rod is being pushed forward (towards the radiator) but the engine is not stopping then the length of the rod needs to be increased a tiny bit, pop the rod off and undo the locking nut then wind it out 2-3mm and try again. If the rod is NOT being pushed forward when the ignition is turned off then you have an EDIC Motor or Fuel Control Relay fault. A stop cable is a good interim (or even long term) solution. Plenty of information via google on stop cables.. just google "2h stop cable".
