Pepe

World of Warcraft

Forged with Jeff Reynolds and Kristen Ashton

Featured Forger: Anne Elise Morrigan @anne_elise

Introduction

No one knows where it came from. No one knows why it remains, but all fell in love with this mysterious traveler. Located high up in the branches of a garrison tree, Pepe sat there, tweeting its little song unassumingly until clicked in just the right position. Then, without a worry or a care, jumped down to sit upon the Adventurer’s head for the better part of an hour.

However, Pepe isn’t just a visitor of the garrison. Indeed, he sits within an Iron orc tent surrounded by treasure and wearing a tiny ninja outfit. He also spends time as a viking, a knight and a pirate. The same bird or different members of the family? No one knows, however, all accept this small companion as a force of good, taking him along for dungeon crawls and worldly adventures all while the little bird tweets a happy song.

Anne Elise’s Choices

Loved by all, feared by raid leaders who had to deal with their team all insisting that they had to hearth back to their garrison in order to retrieve him after a wipe, Pepe shall enter the Nexus! Perhaps the only feature of the garrison universally loved by all, the plump avian native of Draenor has heard the call of the Trans-Dimensional Bird Whistle, and has appeared atop the heads of heroes in the Nexus! Pepe is a unique support, and will cast himself on the heads of each of his teammates, battling with them and helping them out as he can. Like the Lost Vikings, each Pepe will be played individually, using the 1 through 4 keys to switch between the Pepe on each head. Unlike the Lost Vikings, Pepe's cannot be played together, sharing commands, meaning that Pepe's level of difficulty will be extremely high, requiring the player to manage their camera and monitor each player who might need Pepe to activate his abilities.

Pepe - Support - Difficulty: Above Very Hard (managing Pepe is going to be like manning 4 Abathur hats at once; he will be powerful, but require constant attention to detail, making him harder than Vikings and Abathur)

Trait, Abilities, and Heroics:

Trait - "You've Got a Friend!" - The name of the buff that players in WoW receive when they get Pepe: Pepe is not on the battlefields of the Nexus, rather each of Pepe's teammates receives Pepe on their heads. Pepe passively grants players a 10% increase in max health, a 10% increase in attack speed, a 10% increase in out-of-combat regeneration (health and mana), and a 10% increase in basic attack and ability damage. If a team wipes, Pepe will vanish for an additional 30 seconds beyond the death timer of the last hero to rez before he respawns on the team's heads! Pepe adds a great deal of individual power which will make getting an early game lead possible, but careless teams will find themselves punished for taking Pepe's friendship for granted if they fail!

Pepe has no mana. He's a bird. What would a bird need mana for? Jeeze...

1, 2, 3, 4 will shift the player on Pepe to the Pepe on the hero assigned that button. Q, W, E will only activate on the hero currently selected.

Q - "Pepe is Life!" Cooldown, 20 seconds: Pepe casts a heal on the current selected player for 5% of his or her maximum health followed by a heal over time for an additional 5%.

W - "Pepe is Love!" Cooldown 40 seconds: AoE spell cast on minions and mercs, 5 yard radius, 30 yard range - Enemy Minions and Mercs hit by "Pepe is Love" will stop pushing until right-clicked on by an enemy hero; Friendly Minions and Mercs hit by "Pepe is Love" will double their attack speed for 5 seconds, and increase their damage for 5 seconds, and yes, this does stack.

E - "Try Again" Cooldown 40 seconds: Targeted stun on enemy players, forcing them to jump up repeatedly to try and get Pepe (as if they were in their garrisons), lasts for 1.5 seconds and slows 75% for an additional 2 seconds because they are sad that they didn't get Pepe.

Heroics on R at Level 10

"Big Bird Pepe" Cooldown 180 seconds: All four Pepe's leave the heads of Pepe's teammates and a Giant Pepe spawns on the battlefield (location determined by the Pepe player), the size of a boss, for 30 seconds. Giant Pepe instantly heals all teammates for 30% of their max health and provides a heal over time of 2% per second for his duration. Pepe gains a frontal cone attack, on a 6 second cooldown that does 7.5% of max health damage and reduces attack speed for 3 seconds to each enemy hero caught in the cone. Once Giant Pepe's time is up, he will be off the field for 10 seconds before returning to his teammates heads. Giant Pepe is controllable and can be moved at the speed of a boss by the player playing Pepe.

OR

"Shadow Pepe" Cooldown 100 seconds: All four Pepe's Leave the heads of their players and 5 shadow Pepe's appear on the heads of the enemy teams. Shadow Pepe's make enemy heroes vulnerable by 20% for 5 seconds and forces all enemy heroes to run directly towards their hall of storms for 2 seconds. After the first 5 seconds, vulnerable ends, but Shadow Pepe's remain for an additional 5 seconds, now causing a 50% slow. After 10 seconds, Shadow Pepe vanishes, and will be off the field for 5 additional seconds before returning to his teammates heads.

Talents:

Level 1: What kind of Pepe? All level one talents give the heroes an individually activated buff. Pepe does not control these buffs

Pirate Pepe - Pepe takes on his pirate form, and players can activate Pirate Pepe, increasing their attack speed by 20% for 3 seconds. 60 second cooldown.

Ninja Pepe - Pepe takes on his ninja form, and players can activate Ninja Pepe, allowing them to instantly stealth for 3 seconds. 60 second cooldown.

Viking Pepe - Pepe takes on his viking form, and players can activate Viking Pepe, allowing them to break roots, stuns, and slows instantly. 60 second cooldown.

Knight Pepe - Pepe takes on his knight form, and players can activate Knight Pepe, making them unstoppable for one second. 60 second cooldown.

Level 4:

Quest "Heart Container" - For each health globe that your teammates pick up, Q gains .025%, stacking to a total of 100 and 2.5% increase to the heal and the HoT, going from 5% to 7.5%.

"Speed Heals" Q - Cooldown is no longer global, but individual for each hero. It is reduced to 10 seconds per hero, but it only heals for 2% and ticks for 3% of maximum health.

"Friends that Play Together" Q - when activated, Q heals all other heroes within 10 yards for 51 hp each second for 5 seconds.

"Minion Life" Q - Heals all minions on the map to full and shields them for 0.5 seconds.

Level 7:

"Twice the Love!" W - Wizards affected by "Pepe is Love" will drop two health globes.

"Traitor" W - One minion affected by "Pepe is Love," at random, will switch sides for 5 seconds.

"Inspire" W - "Pepe is love" Heals friendly minions and mercs to full health if it does not hit any enemies.

"Persuasion" W - "Pepe is love" can bribe one merc.

Level 13:

"Two for One!" Trait - When switching, Q will activate on the current hero and the previous hero for each cast.

"Friendly Shield" Q - Q puts a 10% shield on all heroes within 10 yards of the currently selected target. Shield last 2 seconds.

"Hey! I love Pepe!" W - When released, minions do 1% of a hero's health damage against the hero that released said minion.

Level 16:

"Hurt Feelings" E - "Try Again" makes an enemy vulnerable by 25% for 3 seconds.

"I missed again?" E - "Try Again" puts an enemy in Stasis for 5 seconds at the end of it's duration. "Try Again's" cooldown is increased to 100 seconds.

"The pain of loss" E - "Try Again" puts all of an enemies abilities on cooldown. "Try Again's" cooldown is increased to 50 seconds.

Level 20:

"Bigger Bird Pepe" - Giant Pepe lasts 45 seconds, increases all healing and damage by 25%, frontal cone CD reduced to 1 second, but Pepe is slowed by 200% movement speed.

"Shadow Pepe Ultimate" - Enemy players must hearth to clear Shadow Pepe. After 10 seconds, the slow increases 2% per second and players begin to take a 1% stacking damage per second. Pepe only returns to the heads of his teammates after all enemies hearth... or die.

"Forever Love" - W changes mercs and minions fighting for the enemy to allies for your team, regardless of where they are. All damage on these minions and mercs is healed and they turn and begin pushing in the opposite direction. W becomes usable on enemy bosses if all 4 are used within 5 seconds of each other.

"Life Spam" - Q activates on all friendly heroes when it is pushed. It now heals for 2%, 1 second CD and can be spammed endlessly.

Jeff’s Choices

Role: Support

Trait: Trait - "You've Got a Friend!" - Featured Forger @anne_elise The name of the buff that players in WoW receive when they get Pepe: Pepe is not on the battlefields of the Nexus, rather each of Pepe's teammates receives Pepe on their heads. 1, 2, 3, 4 will shift the player on Pepe to the Pepe on the hero assigned that button. Q, W, E will only activate on the hero currently selected.

Mount: “Tweet!”

Pepe has the ability to increase the movement speed of the current hero that they are “selected” by a small percentage. Because Pepe does not technically “move” this is a crazy way to have add a movement ability for this hero.

Q: “Home Sweet Nest”

Pepe selects a hero and at the location of that hero a nest is placed. This nest acts like a healing well, but heals for only a small percentage of health. Similar to the amount of Uther’s basic heal. Later in the game the Pepe player can learn talents that will allow them to give the nest to 2 other Pepes that fly in and carry the nest near the friendly player making heals more accessible. The nests can be destroyed by the enemy team to prevent healing. Of course, only one nest can be active at a time in each lane.

W: “South for the Winter”

Pepe can choose a place on the map and leave the currently selected players head to scout the area. When they do this they will be making a patrol run to that place (Travel to the point and automatically back to the players head) Only one scouting run can be active at a time and the Pepe can be destroyed during this run, similar to Lunara’s whisp.

E: “Toucan Play at this game.”

Pepe flies from the top of the selected character's head and targets the enemy hero within range. Pepe will fly around this hero distracting them and causing them to have reduced movement speed for a short amount of time. While this ability is active the player that Pepe left does not benefit from the Pepe trait. After the short duration of this ability Pepe will peacefully fly back to their assigned players side.

Heroic #1: “Panflute Hymn of Pandaria”

The Panflute of Pandaria is an item in World of Warcraft that allows players to have woodland creatures follow them for a short amount of time. As I am sure we all can imagine, Pepe has probably listened to this tune many times and even committed it to memory. With this heroic Pepe will select a friendly player (as always) and when the ability is activated it will charm all enemies in the AOE area with this tune. The players will follow the friendly hero that Pepe had selected when the ability was activated for a short distance. Players that are charmed by Pepe will not be able to attack, but will dance behind the character until they reach the length of the ability. This will take an outstanding amount of communication from the team to make clutch plays using this heroic.

Heroic #2: “140 Characters…”

The Pepe player signals all friendly players that the Pepes are ready to send a barrage of healing their way. The Pepe on top of all the players heads begins to glow and tweet ferously which allows the friendly team to react. If the friendly team manages to click their mice a total of 140 times (combined) before the timer ends they all all receive a huge magical heal from the Pepe on top if their heads… imaging what the level 20 storm talent would be for this… “Re- Tweet?”

Special Skin: “Bird Dressing Room”
Pepe will take on one of many costumes. Each time the player respawns from death Pepe will have another costume on- costumes can be pirates, knights, murlocs ANYTHING!

R1

Fairytale Style

A friend of others as well as other birds, Pepe takes a page from old time fairy tales and calls out to his feathered friends. Down an enormous flock of them fly, pecking at the enemies’ eyes and otherwise causing mass chaos. When active, all enemies are totally blind, meaning their basic attacks and abilities miss. All enemies within this insanity also suffer small amounts of damage as the birds do what damage they can.
