Firebat wins The Pinnacle Tourney

Amaz of Team Archon organized the event and Team Archon member Firebat took the win! Root Gaming’s Xixo had quite the impressive run, coming in via the qualifier and going all the way to the finals where he still took two games off of Firebat.

Firebat brought a control Paladin, Druid, Handlock, and an Deathrattle Hunter.

Crazy Game Stories

Mike

Hey all,

First of all, I listen every week and love what you do. Even though I've never written in before I had something happen to me where my first thought was "I Have to tell Garrett!"

The setup:

Him - Shaman - 3 hit points, 1 1/1 totem and one card in hand

Me - warlock - 9 hit points and 4 minions on board, I end turn

He gets his one card, he's dead unless he has a miracle, so then this happens:

He spins a totem and it's wrath of air, miracle #1

He then goes CRACKLE to the face for the MAX 7 POINTS!, miracle #2, I know Garrett loves this.

To finish it off, he throws down a mechano-enhanceo which promptly gives the 1/1 windfury and he finishes me off. miracle #3 and all I could do was laugh.

Thanks for the great podcast every week, I look forward to and enjoy it greatly.

Hey Guys,

Love the show but I really have to correct you on one part of that GG 10k tournament report. The Sunday tournament did happen, did finish, and Winners have been promised their payout exactly as was stated in the tournament rules, through paypal in mid Jan.

While the qualifiers were a total shit show, I won't dispute that. The Sunday event went off almost perfectly for 90% of us. Of the 256 invited, 230 were able to sign up and were ready on time, a small number of people had trouble with the instructions, or did not get their final invite email and GG held up the tourney for over an hour trying to help them.

Once the Sunday tournament started,( a single elimination bracket using xfire), it went off with only a few issues having to do with players not understanding how to enter their score. I should mention that I finished in the top 16, which made me very happy, and that happiness I am sure colored my experience. If I had gotten knocked out in round one after the horrible experience in the qualifiers i would probably be just as bitter as most of the other folks.

But it is critical that everyone know that this tourney did finish and that the organizers made huge improvements from the qualifiers to the finals.

Thanks guys, Love the show. A proud Patreon Supporter of TAC!

Hello Chickens... I am angry,

As always, I love the show and I look forward to every week.

My question is mostly directed at Dills.

I love Arena and play it SIGNIFICANTLY more than constructed. I also love all of the new GvG cards.

However, since their release I have went from constantly getting 8-12 wins in Arena, to barely being able to achieve 4 wins.

I constantly get blindsided by crazy out of nowhere cards or not being able to build as consistent of decks as I could before.

Any advice?
