About guinea pigs
Hello my name is Phoebe and I’m 8 years old today I will be telling you all about Guinea pigs. Guinea pigs come in all shapes and sizes. There are long ones, hairy ones, short hair ones,
fat ones, little ones and messy ones. There are also loads of other types of Guinea pigs that I haven’t said. You should know all about Guinea pigs before you get one like I have two at home their names are Bella and Susie Squeak (that’s what my dad calls them) it is actually their first names are Susie and Bella.
Baby Guinea pig
Baby Guinea pigs are really precious because if you left a guinea pig on the floor since it’s so small it might get stood on and die. Baby Guinea pigs are really cute and they’re cuddly so you could
snuggle up with your Guinea pig.
Looking after your Guinea pig
You need to look after your Guinea pig so it doesn’t die.You need to feed them three times a day - breakfast lunch and tea. You need to give them hay, Guinea pig food, carrots, pepper, cabbage and other foods. You need to clean them once a week. Guinea pigs like to be left alone in their cage. When you really want to get a Guinea pig out ask your mum or dad or
even your big brother or sister. You need to learn when a Guinea pig poos on the floor you need to wipe it up.
Enemies
If you have a dog or a cat you need to wait till
your dog or cat has died. because if you have
a dog and a Guinea pig if the cage was left open the dog will probably eat the Guinea pig.
