CONTRACT INFORMATION

This contract does NOT apply to campus moves (moving of campus property).

Contract Details

  • Discount on moving of interstate/intrastate household goods.
  • Discount on storage-in-transit (SIT).  Maximum period of storage-in-transit is 180 days.
  • Full replacement insurance is provided at no charge.  Maximum liability shall be $7.00 times the weight of the shipment in pounds up to a maximum of $125,000
  • Auto contract rates available upon request.
  • Contract services are available to all University of Minnesota new hires, retirees, employees leaving the University & University alumni.

Payment

As of January 2, 2018, all moving expenses must be reported as taxable income, therefore, all payments should be made by the new employee directly to the supplier.
