Thank you for your interest in being a presenter at the 2nd Power of We Conference Our conference theme this year  is Answering the Call in Such a Time as This. We would be honored to have you share your expertise at the 2026 Virginia Community Health Worker (CHW) & Doula Conference.

The conference will be held on:

October 8, 2026 – Virtual Conference Day (8 sessions)
October 9, 2026 – In-Person Conference Day (27 sessions including poster board presentations)

When submitting your abstract, please indicate whether you would prefer to present virtually, in person, or are available for either format.

Presentation Opportunities

We are seeking proposals for:

  • Oral Presentations
  • Interactive Workshops
  • Panel Discussions
  • Poster Presentations

Presenters who wish to offer a continuing education session should plan for a minimum presentation length of 60 minutes, which is equivalent to one continuing education credit for attendees seeking recertification.

Additional presenter information, including speaker biographies, headshots, and presentation materials, will be collected through our conference platform at a later date.

Abstracts should align with one or more of the recognized competency areas for Community Health Workers and/or Doulas.

Abstract Submission Requirements

To accept this invitation and be considered as a presenter, please submit the following:

  • Proposed presentation title
  • Brief presentation description (150–300 words recommended)
  • Primary competency area(s) addressed
  • Preferred presentation format (oral presentation, workshop, panel, or poster)
  • Preferred delivery method (virtual or in-person)
  • Confirmation that you accept this invitation to present

Important Deadline

Please notify us of your interest and submit your presentation information no later than July 31, 2026. Upon acceptance, you will be registered as a conference presenter and receive additional instructions regarding speaker registration, continuing education requirements, and conference logistics.

We are excited to showcase innovative practices, promising programs, research, lived experience, and community-driven solutions that strengthen the health and well-being of families and communities across Virginia.
